Anyone have a Fat Tire electric bike ...?
I've been thinking of an electric bike (750watt) for hunting on National Forrest land .

Need to be careful with that. My mother in law set the woods on fire with her electric golf cart. Granted, she was always getting herself into stupid **** but jus sayin.

The battery pack on the 750watt bikes are about the size of a large water bottle ...a bit less than 2 liters .

It is hard to get the fat tire that is good, I'm telling you. The best strategy is getting one that is about 1/2 a fat tire bike. The fat tire makes for a real ****** ride, but if you can find one that is about 1/2 the width of the fatty you get the best of all worlds. No to a enduro or even a dirt bike?

do not buy until you can drive one for at least twenty minutes. I know what you are saying though, as we get older, it is hard to hump some bush. I used to do 11 mile hikes, I can hardly get through 2 miles uphill anymore.

I can ask advice from my brother-in-law in Switzerland. They use the **** out of electric bikes there even in the ice and snow. Studded tires. He had a few for a while. But got stolen.

I can say this though. Out if the handfull of times iv ben there 99% of the mountain bikes electric or not are the ones burla is talking about. Kinda a tweener tire size, bigger than a standard mountain bike tire but not as big as a fat tire bike. And they do LOTS of trail riding there.

I work for a Musk company which is situated right next door to the Tesla design studio. Whenever there are development rollouts, like the semi truck, they take place on our facility campus. Word around the water cooler is yes, they’ll have a pickup truck in production in a couple years.

I believe if the tesla big rigs succeed, we'll see electric trucks for the consumer sooner than later.

I can see the electric big rigs being successful in some situations, basically fleets that have dedicated runs or short haul. I don't see them being that useful for the tipical long haul independent trucker.

Agreed. I think the biggest purchasers are UPS & Anheiser Busch. I'm sure these will be used on dedicated runs with charging stations set up in their terminals / distribution centers.
Gonna be very expensive for a truck stop to put in 50-100 charging stations.
