I don't do it midway because I can't put a catch can on my 6.4. I don't want that PEA in my oil. That is some strong ****.
To each their own. With less than 1 PPM of fuel in your oil i cant imagine it would hurt enough to make a noticeable difference in a UOA
Just my guess though
I'd say if it's a daily driver or a daily driver you drive a lot ( keeping everything lubed ) and moving you'd probably be fine ;however , if your truck sits for days or weeks at a time ???.We can discuss it if you’d like.... anyone else have any thoughts on the subject?
Refraction ..[emoji16][emoji16]You may very well be right, but I know I smell it when I change my oil. PI has a very distinctive smell. If done midway, I'm sure it burns off like water, but how much does it contribute to lubricity decay along the way? Why's the sky blue? Nobody knows. haha
Well I'll be damned... never heard of such a thing.Refraction ..[emoji16][emoji16]

I loved working on the Hercs and I had a nice acreage outside of Cabot with a great shop. I was a single SSgt at the time and had a blast. Racing my Ducati 996, had a brand new Dakota R/T as a toy and an Xtreme Blazer as my daily (remember those? Lol). Worked hard, played harder.Well I was long gone by then , couldn't wait to get the F out !
Funny how now I miss it back home on the farm ...
I never did like LR though .
