I’m thinking about getting some new all terrain tires for my 2019 Ram 2500. Just wanting to know what size I should go with. I was going to get some factory 20 inch wheels but I looked at the tire prices for the 20 inch wheels but they are to expensive. I’ll keep my 18s. I don’t have a lift I’m gonna keep it factory but I’m thinking of getting a bigger tire. I do have the 3.73s and 6.4 hemi and I tow a camper. Just wondering what others have done thanks!

If you want a little bigger tire, for an 18” wheel I would highly recommend a 285/75/18. Such a great size tire. One downfall is you will have a somewhat limited tire selection in that size.

What brand do you recommend getting? BFGs or Goodyear etc.? I’m looking for a good long lasting tire.

Currently I have the Falken AT3W’s on my power wagon right now in a 35x12.5/17. Just put a set on my wifes Yukon Denali (285x45/22). They have been wonderful. Wearing very well, great traction, and fairly quiet. I took my truck to discount tire after well over 1 year with them for a rotate and balance (I do rotation myself, but obviously cant balance soooo...). After over 13k miles they still had just over 16/32nds of tread, which is more than a BFG KO2 comes with brand new.

I have always liked the BFG’s and had pretty good experience with them, but I feel like these Falkens are just as tough and quite a bit cheaper.

General Grabber ATX & Falken Wildpeak AT3 were the two highest rated AT's. Higher than BFG K02 and Michelins.

I went with General - made in USA. Falken made in Thailand.

How much taller are they? Have you towed anything and can you tell the difference in towing?

They are 34.25"
I have not towed yet, but will be in about 3 weeks.

Ok so there a little over an inch taller. Do you have 3.73s? Let me know how it does?

I'm not sure if it's still an issue but when I put new tires on my 2014 2500, they were rated at 60psi max weren't rated for the air pressure required of the truck so my TPMS lights were always lit. If you get a tire that won't air up past 65psi, then you'll either have to get the truck reprogrammed with lower limits or live with the light on.

Yeah I’m definitely gonna get e rated tires since that’s what the truck is rated for.

I cannot say enough good things about Michelin ATX LT2 for everything but driving through mesquite bushes.

They're a great tire, good traction in wack weather and quiet and smooth.
