After removing 87,000 screws & bolts it still wont come off. Have removed the instrument panel bezel, glove box & passenger side airbag.

It will lift up far enuf from the instrument panel to look under to the front glass, looks like there might be clips holding it, hard to tell.

Any thoughts?

TIA

There are clips. Are you just taking the top half off right?

Just for a look see into the a/c,heater components. My original problem is still a/c, see first post.

Am on a vacuum leak hunt at present.

Bigtman sent a link to the srv.manual...which I'm in his debt.

lol It's cool man. That's why it is here. Covers lots of things but not all. Did it happen to help ya get the top off?

Haven't pursued it but have everything else off.

Don't tell anyone but I cracked the top dash when I screwed the bolts in at the windshield, a 4" crack from the center bolt back..........how dumb.

Just had my 97 Grand Voyager, with 216k miles, inspected at Kwik Lube, they will do a vacuum leak check on the truck for $40. Might let them do it if I can't find it.

That's not a bad Idea. And don't worry about the dash crack all us 2nd gen trucks have them but maybe one or 2. It's a common thing. a new one will run you anywhere from 100 bucks to maybe 250. But let us know what you find. There is a writeup in the diy section on a 97 that might give you some clues as well.

Thanks, will look at the 97 diy section.

Am currently taking off the vacuum check valve at the vacuum pump.

Without the srvs man., wouldn't have a clue.
