What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

To be honest, I thought the 35’s would’ve looked good with the lift. I had the wheel/tire setup before the lift. But looking now I do wish I would’ve went 37’s. Kinda put the cart before the horse.

Drove to the end of a forest road and took some pics and heard what sounded like a water fall so hiked down the canyon and found a pretty cool water hole.

This is why i like to run 3 ply sidewall tires, you never know what you'll rub when you go out on the trail. though it makes me a little nervous the Falken AT3W are just 2 ply.. it seems they can still take a beating at 73lbs i figure the 2 ply sidewall is on the heavy side, i'll have the tire checked at my local Discount tire today just in case though i think the cut is cosmetic.

What size did you go with?? I'm interested in these as the duratracs I'm running were for fitment purpose. Maybe do a little review when you get them on [emoji41] I can't find **** about em

Don't run that mch longer unless it's a dedicated trail rig. 70mph on a freeway and it's not a question of if, it's when willl the tire go. I've been in auto/transport for far too many years and have seen people get told it's OK and it really isn't. Grab a spare wheel and a new tire and make that a trail spare.

Broke in the replacement set of tires by going up to the Sierra Foothills. Talk all the smack ya want about the Goodyear Wrangler SRA's they work fine for my needs, plus for what I paid I'm smiling.
Name that spot.

These are LT285/70/17. Equal to a 33x11.5. I did some research and they had one of the highest ratings for least road noise and wet traction. The latter of which the Goodyears sucked and was my main concern.
Will be getting them mounted tomorrow and alaignment done next Thursday. Added a RC 2.5" lift last week for clearance.
Will give a write up as soon as I have some mileage on them.

I couldn’t go to the tire shop today but I’ll try tomorrow. I paid a little extra for tire certificates for situations like this so I’ll check what they have to say. I have a full spare with matching wheel that I can mount if needed, I’ll also check the other tires for cuts as well just in case.

Fixed my headlights... noticed output seemed to be getting worse wasnt sure the issue finally tracked it down to the bulbs being not seated properly...

Drivers side light was half the output of passanger and passanger was like 1/4 of what it should have been. Old setup with crap meter read around 750ish lux these were 250-280 lux pre fix and around 875 post fix.

I suggest anyone running a HID retrofit if output looks to be poor make sure the bulbs are seated correctly. Mine was only off about 1/8th to 1/4" and output was seriously diminished.
