I wet tumble mine, then bake for 30 mins at 195 deg. I use a salad shooter to try getting as much moisture out of my brass as possible before baking.

I was thinking that but after seeing may go gloss black to match up the one on 3rd break light. Yes there are two other pieces will see tommorow how they all look together. For now I'm def impressed on finish.

Been awhile since posting, but the Ram has been looking too good lately so thought I’d share a pic.

Next up it’s time to replace the front fogs with LED pods and grab some fox 2.0’s for the front and rear.

That’s a nice looking truck, I like how cleaned up it is. I think they look so much better D-badged. Really like your wheels.

Since it was 40f outside I swapped out the Carven Progressive muffler for a FloPro muffler. Sounds almost stock now. I need to hear a stock truck again to be able to tell the difference.

Not sure if I’ll keep it on yet. I wanted a little quieter at idle and in the cab.

If I do keep it I’ll have it welded in place. And have an inch cut off the front of the muffler intake pipe, since it pushes everything to far back in the hangers and the tips are out further as well.

Haha same here but I am not building tables. I am rebuilding my carport. Using my auto transport to go and pick up the materials. Went to the landfill with a loaded bed with singles, and trailer full of wood weighed in about 2,200 lbs. lol.

What do you figure was the total value of that bed full of singles. Sorry, I'm been drinkin'.....Had to do it. Haha

My tool collection has grown substantially since buying our home in 2009. I was not very handy back then but I have learned and continue to learn as I go. I've since already tackled building a custom wall to wall built in my kid's playroom, re-purposing old neglected furniture, building a 10' long table for our deck, building a 14' firepit area with wall stones, and other smaller tasks. I love doing things myself especially if it saves me money!

Speaking of which... just performed my first oil change on the Ram... went with Mobil 1 EP 5w-30 and Mobil 1 filter. Lots of other things I plan on doing in the near future... trans fluid/filter, transfer case, differentials, maybe power steering and coolant, serp belt and tensioner, spark plugs, etc, etc, etc.
Ha...sounds like me in the early 80's. #1 1 rule, don't let anybody buy you tools for any reason. You buy your own tools. You buy GOOD tools and you only have to buy it once. Lesson learned the hard way.
