No worries corneileous. I'm not holding you to your word. Just looking for opinions.

I’m not trying to rain on any parade, I just can’t emphasize enough of how tricky, tempermental and sensitive that air ride system is and seriously wouldn’t want to mess with it all because when it fails, it’s not cheap to fix. There’s quite a few members on here who have had costly repairs on it and fortunately the majority of them were lucky enough to have warranty pay for it. Those front air struts alone are nearly a grand a piece.

As far as tires, if you’re looking to go off-road in places that would eat a regular tire for lunch, you can’t go wrong with the BFG’s and will find it fairly difficult to find anything better. But they are a very stiff riding tire. They are designed to be an off-road tire. I bought mine clearly for looks and for better ice/some snow and rain traction but even then that was a mistake. I like the smooth ride my air ride gives me. I don’t go off-road. I don’t even hardly tow anything.

Same here on my '18 chrome bumper. It also needs a chin spoiler and new filler panel below the headlight. $1087 estimate

Got the quote on mine and it is a $1,000.00 parts and labor. Dropped it off this morning. Should have it back before Thursday of this week.

Good luck with yours! :waytogo:

Yeah, air ride on a 2016 1500. I don't use the OFRD settings. If I needed to I figured I could just swap them out. I was looking for a better stance and a way to get 35" tires on 20" factory rims. You make a good point about the compressor

I have shorter links on my '17 Rebel. Normal mode is slightly more stiff over bumps. Not bad tho. No extra use on the compressor. Technically it's out of alignment, but I haven't noticed uneven tire wear for the past 10k+ miles I've had it like this.

Mine are "links for ram" brand, got them from a member. Only about .5" rake now. I fully recrecomm them, as you can go back to stock in less than 5 minutes. Just make sure you lock it in tire jack mode when you're switching them.

Well on Friday a guy decided to run a stop sign. Proceeded to monster truck over the hood of his civic.

I've got the dash cam video but I'll wait until after insurance is finished to post. Needless to say the other guy is totally at fault for this one.

Cosmetically my truck isn't bad. Undercarriage on the other hand is kinda ******.

So in stock configuration, does OF1 or 2 not level the truck out? I’ve never put a tape on it at all, but all the times I’ve ever played around with my air suspension, it sure looked leveled out to me, with no more downward rake to the front.

But as far as needing an alignment, you’re talking about a camber adjustment, correct?

Yah they sent them a little too far north. Bought them from their own website, usually stuff costs more that way but they were having a sale and got em for 300 less.

Be careful topping your DEF tank off from the half tank mark. I did once on my Cummins and it sent me into the Limp mode count down. I accidentally over filled my Def tank and smothered it out. I had to drain my tank and reset the computer on the truck. Now I keep it just above the 1/4 tank mark.

Thanks for the info, it was between 1/4 and 1/2 when I filled it to between 3/4 and full . I was going to wait until it hit 1/4 but they are talking 12-18" snow starting at midnight to noon thurs. I get to see if they close Cheyenne down again before I try to go to work at 1pm
