it rides great! Just a tad firmer than stock, but I’ve had no issues. Roads are bumpy here in SoCal and it hasn’t been a problem. To be fair I’ve only driven twice since installing, once around the block and once to work. I’m hoping it settles more, I was surprised by the 3+ inch gain. I don’t know if it’s because it’s on a regular cab or because it needs time to settle. I wholeheartedly recommend the kit though!

Awesome. It makes sense for them to settle in, my buddy's mustang that he lowered had to have time for the shocks to settle. Thanks

Downgraded my tires size from 37x12.5x17 back to 315/70/17, also went from AT to a little more aggresive MT looking thread.
37's were fun but even with 3.92 gears my truck runs much better with 35's and i'm expecting to pick a little more MPG as well.
Tires are Milestar Patagonia MT in 315/70/17

They have M+S designation, will see how that works this coming winter in the San Bernandino Mountains + they have a 3 ply sidewall so i'm not expecting to have any issues spining them at the mall or rubbing the sides against the curbs :)

Zero so far. These suckers are so quiet it's almost impossible to believe lol. at least for now. I'm not kidding the reviews on these are spot on. very quiet tires for having that cool aggressive looking thread, supposedly you can spin them fackers in the rocks and they won't chunk, heavy duty sidewalls for rock crawling as well, $226 each, good traction in snowy weather, decent rain traction for MT tires, etc. Only complaint seems to be the soft compound they have that gives them traction in the rocks also work against them in the miles department. They seem to last around 30-35k miles. I'm working more from home now days so i'm not expecting the same 130 miles daily commute i had anytime soon so 30-35k miles is more likely 3-4 years, knocking on wood.

Luck you.

The grabbers I just put on are not quiet... At all. Luckily my commute is mostly interstate at 75ish... They aren't to bad at that speed.. they are pretty loud between 45 and 55ish though.

Just ordered some Bilstein 5100 and Mevotech upper control arms. Plan on setting the bils at 2.1. So excited! Doing the work myself, looks pretty easy. I’ve done many suspension projects just never on a Ram.

Enjoy!! I've done Bilstein 5100 on my previous truck(Nissan Titan). Compressing a truck coil spring is no joke. It would be nice if someone sold an assembled strut for the 5100's.

Grabber X3? I had those in my Jeep Wrangler. They'll get louder than Nitto Terra Grapplers. With either option you also feel / hear them bite into the ground at low speed too. I like them all anyways. I like MT tires in general. I had AT's cause I was in that cycle. Maybe couple more years I may be back to AT. For now this things were cheap and even the low speed noise from most MTs is not there yet. They all get louder with miles one way or the other. Will see how long does it takes for these ones to start singing. They are MT tires so noise is part of their character. I have had AT tires that turned out to be super loud in some ways very close to MT loud while the thread looked not aggressive at all.

Yeah, they are X3. If I hadn't gotten such a killer deal on them I would of chosen an AT instead.

Tossing around doing a little mod. Seems like theirs others who have asked about such a mod, but haven't come across anyone who has actually done it. I've always liked the R/T style hood, but there's something that attracts me to the hood the 2500's have.

Guess there's only one way to find out. And if I don't like it, I'll be able to switch back.

The hood itself bolts right up. It's going to be the little modifications to the grill / bumper trim plate that will be thought out. Didn't want to go with a 2500 bumper as it would be much more of a modification, and lets face it... it's a 1500, not a 2500. No need for posers out there.

I'll keep track and do more of a post when all is said and done. For now...... here you go

Original 1500 hood without grill installed :

with 2500 hood installed minus the grill:

I like the 2500 hood! How have the pod lights in the fogs been working? I have the LED bulbs in the stock lamps and they are pretty bright on my 2011. I was going to pull the trigger on a set of dual 3” pod LED lights, but held off.

Thanks, I'll see if I can get the grill fitted this weekend.

The pods are Rigid, as is the adapter to mount them. Although when you check on the part, they don't list one for a 1500, the 2500 fits just fine for the fog openings I have (2011 1500). Not sure why they just don't list it as well.... but it fits. Takes a little "wiggling" to get things in, but very doable. The lights are definitely bright and light up the road.

I hooked up the outer pods to work when the factory fog switch is engaged, and the inners to be activated via a separate switch. Rigids' are one of those things where "you get what you pay for" :waytogo:

What lift do you have front and back ? I want to get that same tire size next time around

Thanks!

Same here. lol My boss texted me at 8:15 this morning and asked if I could work half a day from 11am-3pm. OF COURSE!!!
Gotta work tomorrow as well. It's picking up boys! Thank God!
Things never slowed down for me. I guess it’s good to have a job that’s considered expendable, I mean essential.

I like the look without them. It's sporty. But I've got mud tires, a headache rack, toolbox, recovery stuff, and soon I'll be sitting on some bullet hole 17x9s with dune graps. My truck isn't sporty. And I've come to appreciate the function. The question now is whether or not I will like wheel to wheel or cab length more.

How about some rock sliders instead of steps?
