What do I do with my spare now that I'm lifted?

While a plug kit and a compressor are great ideas, they won;'t fix a sidewall or a tire coming off the rim. Years ago on my '78 GMC Jimmy, I ran 35s with a stock sized spare. It saved my butt a few times!!

Roadside assistance and AAA. Thank God I've never had to use them in over 30 years.

AAA don't go where we go up in Pilsberry I promise you that, lol. Once my buddy dropped his driveline, put strap around his bumper and towed him to where AAA could put him on a flatbed. Messed up the street pretty good.

I carry a plug kit. And I have a onboard air system that I can fill my tires no problem. And it runs my train horns.
Nice set up.

Speaking of this does anybody know of you could fit a 35" tire or something comparable diameter wise just to get to a shop

I wasn't able to fit my 35" under my truck. It would hit the hitch and pan hard bar.

Not sure why you are not simply keeping it for emergencies? I wouldn't use it in 4wd, but 2wd should be just fine. Plug kits and pumps are fine IF it's a repairable tread puncture but wouldn't do anything for you if it's sidewall damage from a pothole, curb or even something you hit on the road.

I did a full sized 35" 17" spare, I didn't want to mess with a short spare, have LSD don't want two different sized wheels...didn't want to chance messing up LSD.
My 35" tall 17" spare wont fit under my truck, so it in the bed cable locked under tonneau.

I have the same size for a spare but it still won’t fit under my 1500 express. Unfortunately my truck did not have a factory trailer hitch so I bought a heavy duty hitch which is preventing it from fitting. I’m thinking about finding a slightly small tire to fit just to get to a shop. Like a 265/70/17 or 285/70/17.

That’s how I’m going for now, unfortunately I need a different wheel because the 315/70/17 on the 17x7 black steel wheel won’t fit on the front of the truck with out rubbing.

I did a full size 35's this time to match my exterior ones. Will still do it locked in the bed under tonneau.
