What kind of jack do you use when working on your truck? Also, what's the capacity on it? I might be looking to buy one..all I have is the stock jack right now..

I got a 2 Ton hydraulic floor jack at the house, I usually use the lifts at work when I need something done though.

Same 3 1/2 ton with speed lift pump and large stands (4 or 6 T not 100% sure).
Also own a smaller 2 ton but only for assisting support or to jack something else up/down when on the stands.

I like the horizontal ratchet-type jack, it's quick & fairly stable. I bought this several years ago; I've been looking for a replacement but they seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth.

I'm actually not sure what this thing is called so my keywords are probably all screwed up. I was wondering if anyone either:
a) knows the name for this type of jack, or
b) if anybody sells them?

thanks.

The tire shop down the street just uses 3 tons jacks

We just use 2 1/2 -3 1/2 ton jacks and it'll pick up the ram, but at home for personal use I have a 3 1/2 ton craftsman jack with 3 ton stands
