I know you bought it so you mind is at ease now. But for others that may search and find this thread Rust can be a problem for us that live in these areas. First few years you not have to worry about any rust. I'm near Chicago, so typically going North only makes looking for a vehicle that much harder. With that said, I bought a 2011 with 125,000 from Detroit 2 years ago for my son. It had spent it's whole life outside. It was a one owner, the passage side right above the wheel well on the bed had surface rust. Also had some on the rockers and where the backs of the front wheel well meets the rockers. For a first vehicle I thought it was still great for him. I sanded these areas down used POR 15 on them to seal the outside. Then sprayed and undercoated the truck with Fluid Film. It has maybe stopped if not definitely slowed the progression of the rust. Lucky it's a black truck, the POR15 is black and these areas were not visible standing next to the truck. Just from being underneath. So it look very good.

I spray all my vehicles with Fluid Film ASAP and it make a 100% difference. I do reapply each each year but not as thick as the first time. I also make sure I soak the inside of panels, remove lights, get up in drain holes, inside the frame etc. My point is if you can do this even once it will stop anything that may have started just from being in the elements. I sure unless you are in AZ, your vehicles still rust. Just not as fast as ours....

Yeah, I agree. In general terms, One ...or even two years driven in salty roads would be ok if it were taken to the arid south. Just wash real well. Wouldn't hurt to undercoat or apply oil to protect the body in the "problem areas", but IDK if a guy would even need to do that. But going the other way...bringing a used vehicle from the arid S. to the salty N. ...they tend to rust up pretty quick in my experience if not rust-protected.

But obviously in this case, it's a non-issue for the OP.

Enjoy your new pickup!

Well I grew up in Cleveland then lived in Commiefornia for a few decades. The first time I went to a California junkyard I was amazed at the shape of the cars. To me it was like discovering King Tuts tome. I keep my vehicles for a long time.

is it soon yet?
There was only two that had everything I wanted in the USA. I couldn't get the 3.92 and heated seats when trying to order a 2024 Classic.

It has tem miles on it. Never test driven and they received it end of 2023. I think it might be okay.
If the price is right, I'd buy it.

If ya go for it, Low Ball the offer.
