Helped a buddy grab some sod from an existing home today and had the truck loaded down pretty good. I have no idea what it weighed but it was a lot. He lives by where I like to go ride so I also had my side by side with me. The truck still leveled out no problem and rode awesome. Only went about 15 miles but still impressed with the load leveling abilities of the stock system.

Looks like a pretty good load to me. Seems the factory air ride can handle itself pretty well.

Literally no squat and I know it was quite a load as when I attempted to go to entry/exit when preparing to unload, it wouldn't as it showed a payload message which means it has too much weight to be in any other mode than normal.

I read somewhere that the factory air ride could handle 2k I'm not sure how legit that is but it's nice to know it handles it self, sod is not light.

Read something similar on another forum of the air suspension handling upwards of 2K.
I also read in a different post where the truck was brought in for an issue unrelated to the suspension and the dealer told the owner he had been overloading his truck from the error codes that were read.

i'm sure it can handle more but supposedly it won't function once you hit 2k. also as the post above is suggesting i'm sure it keeps a log of that so i'd be careful since that could easily lead to denied warranty claims if there's ever an issue with the air suspension

I hauled 2051 lbs of limestone rock in the back of my 1500 last spring. The air ride leveled it out completely but I did not try to adjust the level to entry/exit or off road. I did not get any codes. Only hauled it for about 10 miles.

Well went camping over the weekend and hauled a new setup. 4500 or so tt with 2000 pounds behind it. 12 mpg on the lie o meter. Pulled it well and it was a 55 and under tow except 20 miles at 65. No issues.

:jawdrop:
I looked up my max payload and it's 1180 pounds. I'm paranoid about losing my warranty so I won't ever be putting more than 1100 in it.

Well picking up this new camper Monday so we will see if the truck makes the cut. I think it will tow it fine, just not sure it's a good idea to do on a regular basis. I can bypass the largest mountain pass around by taking an extra 15 minutes to go the longer route, but still not sure I'll keep the truck. Thinking of options now, but not sure what I'll end up with. Newer diesel, older v10 and buy a commuter or keep the truck. I won't be double towing next weekend as I won't have the upgraded bumper on or lights wired up. Leaning towards a early 2000s v10 ford and a new car to drive around most of the time.

Factory air could puy that Coleman nose high if'n you wanted it to. Wind will wiggle you a bit but yer Truck will stop/start/twist/turn that unit no problem at all. Just make sure you cold max the psi in the camper shoes.

50psi in the camper tires always for me(when 50 is max). I'll be double towing as well. I'm sure it would do just fine with just the camper. We will see.

Yer throwing a load of work on that machine for sure. You got a gopro? I'd love to see the way it handles the caboose underway.
