A/C system on auto takes 3-5 minutes to sense the temp and then start working properly.

It’s been 100+ here in Texas and the auto A/C seems to be all or nothing at first- then starts blowing correctly after awhile.

Anyone else had this issue?

Yes.. I noticed this. My 13 ram would blow so cold I would have to turn it down. The new one seems to take some time before it really cools off. Also seems to have an issue with the blender not working correctly. It will split to my feet when on auto. Only way to fix is to go off auto ad manually max it out.

I follow page 95 in my manual and it works pretty good..........set mode to "face only", put blower on high, roll down windows for a few minutes to flush out hot air, once comfort is achieve adjust controls for comfort. My car sits outside all day at work.....and this works pretty good. I'm pretty hot natured, but have yet to use "max A/C" ...........maybe I'll test it. And I agree.......this AC isn't as cold as previous/current vehicles I own. And I think the motor is too loud......but with music on, it's no biggie.

Then there is this on page 93:

To provide you with maximum comfort in the Automatic

mode during cold start-ups, the blower fan will remain on

low until the engine warms up. The blower will increase in

speed and transition into Auto mode

Please add excessive hood flex at highway speeds to your list of 2019 problems and fixes. I haven’t found any solution or relief from my dealer yet.

Yes. I saw that. I just have owned my 13 for a while and am just used to how it works. I had heard they went to a variable output compressor in 18 so Im sure that continues in 19. I also leave my truck outside and before I leave would remote start my truck from my Uconnect app and by the time I got to the truck it was comfortable. The temp coming from the vent though is not as low. I did measure them.

I still have my 13 so I was able to do a comparison in the same conditions on my driveway. My 13 has 90k miles. I LOVE my 19 and I knew what I was getting into with buying a first year redesign so I am going to be more than patient because it was my choice no one made me buy it. I had a terrible experience with a first year Caddillac redesign.

I live in Texas so the heat here has been extremely high lately. 110-115 where I am. So I know the AC can struggle in those conditions. My old Ram is white and new is Black so I also take that into account. I will monitor it and see how it goes. I just have to adjust from what I am used to from the passed 4 years.

There's a TSB out for the hood flex. I think they're going to do some laminating on the inside to prevent it but my dealer said none of the parts/materials are available to resolve it, yet.

I had something weird happen last night .I contacted the unconnect/ guardian assist through the truck app. They said that my truck essay showing I was in the Atlantic Ocean. Not cool if I had an emergency. Anyway, they also said I didn't complete the registration so they sent a link to my email and told me to hit the SOS button once done to test it. So I finished the registration and then went back out to my truck and hit the SOS button. It showed on my screen it was connecting and then I got the "this call may be recorded" and then maybe 5 seconds of background music. Then the sound went dead, showed the call was still connected, my lat/lon, which I didn't write down or record, and a message that the operator can only end the call. Silence. Shut off the truck, opened the door and the screen was still active. Called unconnect. They couldn't disconnect the call, swapped me over to a Ram specialist, still connected. Ended up ending the call on my phone with the screen active and connected to SOS. I couldn't call the dealer as it was after they closed. Went to bed and when I got up went out to check on the truck. The call was gone and the dash off. Started right up with everything working fine. Oh well. .....

I noticed a problem today. On my front passenger door the chrome trim at the top is rubbing against the chrome trim on the rear passenger door creating a slight resistance when opening and closing the door. The trim on both of the doors has now become slightly loose. The door appears aligned correctly so I think the trim itself may be too large. Not sure what I can do about it. I was thinking I may have to file it down with something.

Why is that not a dealer responsibility?

I'd definitely ask the dealer if the truck is the 2019 your info shows. Maybe find the salesperson that sold you the truck and see if you can get some help that way.

So, guys ....I went in this morning because my cup holder won't "latch" shut. They put one on order ...2-3 weeks for that. So, I told them I didn't feel the AC was performing as it should and wanted it checked out. Mind you.....I've been reporting that mine was fine....and truthfully, it is. So, today it's only 80 degrees and raining. The vent temps were 40* and the evap temp is 39* (don't ask me how the tech checked this). So there is a code: B10EB-4B-BLOWER POWER MODULE-OVER TEMPERATURE first step in diagnosis is to replace blower motor. So, it'll go in tomorrow for a new blower motor.

So, you guys who have issues.......its definitely worth checking out at the dealer. I admitted it wasn't as cold as previous cars but it was fine in those near 100* temps the last couple weeks. We'll see----maybe it'll be able to freeze me now

2019 Limited upper glove box light will not go out. Very noticeable at night. Appears that glove box door is misaligned, therefore not making up the limit switch to turn off the light. I can push on the upper right hand corner of the door to turn off the light. I hope the dash doesn't have to be taken apart to fix? Anyone else have this issue?

It's normal. It's in the manual. Manual recommends "face only" fan on "high" not on "auto" not on "recirculation" windows down for a couple minutes to flush out the hot air. I've done this the entire 800 miles and it works wonders. Once it cools down, then I go to auto mode and set my desired temperature. Is this optimal.....maybe not, but it works.

To provide you with maximum comfort in the Automatic

mode during cold start-ups, the blower fan will remain on

low until the engine warms up. The blower will increase in

speed and transition into Auto mode.

I also live in Texas. I have never been much of a Dodge fan, but the new design caught my attention. There is so much to love about this truck. But, I was so disappointed in the air conditioner. I shouldn't have to take such steps to get immediate comfort. I have to drop windows first and wait for the engine to heat up before it cools? is this correct from what I have read from some posts? Even after some time behind the wheel I only felt somewhat comfortable, but not that cool and crisp refreshing feeling I want to have after being fried out in the sun! Every person I had brought with me without my making mention of it said the same thing... To think, I might have to reconsider a purchase of this truck over air conditioning... I hope something like an update will correct this. Maybe others can help me here.
