On my way to work this morning, I almost spun out merging on the freeway. It was a little wet, but not raining and there was no puddles. Not gonna lie definitely a puckering moment lol. I absolutely HATE these crapyears in the wet weather. If only got 9,400 miles on them! Now trying to convince the wife I need new tires lol.

They are crap. Mine came off of the CTD the day after I purchased the truck.

Tell the Mrs. they are unsafe (which they are - they are terrible in wet conditions, hopeless in snow and they generally suck otherwise) and you wouldn't want anything to happen to any of you due to unsafe tires.

Just go buy some new tires. Yours and your families lives are worth more than some tires.

The same thing happened to me with a little bit of snow, these tire are the worst I have ever seen. Ordered Falken wildpeaks today. I agree, your life or your family's life is more important.

The only GYs I've not completely hated were Duratracs on past Jeeps. I've got a '17 Rebel which came with Toyo ATs, I'm not hating them but will probably get over to BFG KO2's when the time comes.

Right before I installed my new shoes I had one of those moments on the SR-A’s with only 10-11k on mine. Hydroplaned at about 55mph on I-95. I have had summer tires on performance cars that handle way better than those POS tires. Sent them packing on CL!

I was doing 30 up an on ramp. It had rained just before so it was wet and my truck hydroplanned almost ran the car next to me off the road. Wasn’t even accelerating. Factory sr-a tires.

It’s a little frustrating when you spend $55k on a truck then you have to go buy new tires after not even 10k. But I miss the KO2’s I had on my 03.

I actually didn't change the Goodyears until 47,000, but knew to never take any chances in the wet because they truly have been the worst tires I ever had on a vehicle. As someone else had mentioned, they had summer tires that were even better, the Goodyear gatorback 's I had on my 5.0 Mustang were better rain tires.

The bean counters at RAM must have really got a great price that would make it worth them using such a poor rain tire.

I find my SRAs to be worse in damp/slimy roads vs. wet roads. Dealers typically pick the cheapest, and lowest rolling resistant tires they can find. The only decent OEM tires I've had, were the Silent Armors on my '12 Outdoorsman. All others have been garbage.

Same results for me. Switched to Michelin and so much better in rain.

I actually liked the stock Good Year tires, I fly everywhere 70-80 mph on puddles and freeways and never had any issues hydro planning. I changed them out to Michelin at 60k miles

But I got a camper shell and usually pretty loaded, so maybe the extra weight helps my truck to more stable and better handling.

Wrangler SRA’s are good for burnouts and that’s about it. Other than that, they are super unsafe. Wife’s on board with getting new tires ASAP even if new wheels are attached to them, I’m just being a cheap skate right now

I’m really trying not to be a cheap ass, so I’m looking into tires. Mainly duratracs or KO2’s. I’ve have KO2’s before and my buddy loves his duratracs. Thing is I wanted LT tires and the duratracs don’t come in LT in the standard size. If I go up a size the tires go up $100 per tire. Duratracs are about $200 cheaper overall with the discounts. Just not sure what direction to go. Anyone have another suggestion on a tire? I may be selling some lightly used crapyears if anyone is interested lol!

Give Nitto Terra Grappler G2 a/t’s a serious look. I think you’ll like what you find.
They are pure awesomeness!

I’d seriously take a look into the Toyo Open Country A/T 2’s. Really nice tire and can be had in a LT rating I believe
