Didnt know what you meant by them going south...not seeing them at all....hopefully it will be fine in the morning. Had a chevy where I had to deflate then inflate to get to read...it only partially worked. Ended up at the dealer

One thing everyone forgot to mention is that you will notice----the price of your tires will go up.

Ya but not for a couple of years. These tires are brand new.

Ran over a toilet bowl on my way to work on Rt 95 at about 75mph. It fell out of a garbage truck, hit an accord which busted it up some, then I ran the whole mess over. Lots of noise but don't see any damage on the outside. Tire still have air, but not sure how much because I HAVE NO TPMS YET. I guess I have to go by a tire shop and they can tell me if they are even in there.
Why the hell would a guy sell new take off wheels and tires but remove the TPMS sensors? The wheels are mint perfect perfect..no sign of tire dismounting. Oh well.

This is always subjective but you’ll typically see an improvement if you’re looking for a “better” ride. More sidewall will absorb more shock and vibrations from the road, the trade off being a touch more tire roll when cornering at higher speeds.

This a a very abbreviated description....

Will going with an LT rated tire over a P rated tire help improve the tire roll when cornering at speed?

Are they aftermarket 20’s?
Maybe the tpms was not installed and regular valve stems were. Food for thought.

Why? To put the oem tpms into an aftermarket wheel and tire combo.

And that's what happened. I just wish he would have mentioned it. Full disclosure is a lost art! Had I known I would have dropped them off when they were still loose and had them installed.
Oh well, easy enough to fix.
Have gotten used to the firmer ride. All is well and they seem to have survived crushing the toilet bowl.

Well I went the other way, I do not like the wide tires.
In most of my situations the wide tire doesn't work as good as a narrower one does.
I went from the factory 20's to factory 17" rims with LT245/75R17s.
I noticed almost no ride difference with a large increase in tire capacity,it does not steer like a sports car.
But on gravel roads I don't have to worry about stone bruising and flats.

To be honest (and vain) I did it for looks. And it does look better to me. But the factory 17's worked well, wore dead even, and rode real nice. I never had a problem in rain snow or dry.
So 245/75 huh? How tall is that tire?

Took a quick ride today, Kingman Az to Las Vegas, 110 miles each way average speed 83 mph so like a 1:40 hour ride with heavy traffic at I40 & I93. Gas mileage with a Pentastar 22.1 MPG with crazy winds over the Hoover Dam. Point is I have a little short ass truck with no rear weight and it is just smooth with the Goodyear 265 70 R17 Assurance CS Fuel Max tires. Hit a lot of crap in the road and a pot hole that probably would have been a problem for a tire with a low sidewall. Out here we don't grow grass or trees, just dirt, sand, rocks, bigger rocks and tumble weeds. So I'm staying with my 17's as my roads are just straight for 50 miles and the speed limit is 75. I was going to grab these Black Sport 20"s from Craigslist but I'm happy with my 17's, if someone else would like them feel free, I'll even look at them is they would like me to. They've been listed for 4-5 days so you never know what OBO would take them for.

they are about 31 1/2 inches tall about the same height as the stock 17's, I had the dealer reprogram to that height for the speedometer.

What is “stone bruising”?

If you do much driving on dirt/gravel roads you will find that your tires pick up stones and keep working them in the treads till it causes a flat from tire damage, many times you will just start having to add air frequently but will not have any punctures to repair and even trying to patch on the inside doesn't work as the air leakage is not a straight path and then the tires can start getting lumps as the plies are separating.
Also the larger stones that are getting run over are just about like hitting potholes constantly.

So there will be no TPMS errors (2016 to 2018) and no traction control or any other errors except speedometer mismatch?
If so, I can live with that.
It will ride rougher, but to some that doesn't matter.

Does anyone have some input on what is the difference in ride quality in going from the tall sidewall 17" tires to the shorter sidewalls on the 20"'s with a regular tread street tire?
17's ride better in general, especially off road, that is why most all the off road trucks use 17 or 18s.
