^^Without the big RAM, one might mistake it for a Nissan...Oh wait, maybe he was “Sponsored”...morons
Jeff Foxworthy would be proud, he doesn't even have to hand them a sign, they make their own

Just saw a 4th Gen 1500 that was debadged and where the 5.7l badge would be there was a Cummins sticker...

Can somebody explain the to me?
Meh...it’s just like any other poser mod. Like when people lift their trucks or put bigger tires on, but will never go off road. Or the people who put light bars in their grills of bumpers, but they’ll never get turned on (then they’ll have the audacity to tell people to buy the overpriced rigid as opposed to cheap amazon because the lights don’t burn out as quick). Or the people that buy fancy looking cold air intakes that do nothing for performance or fuel mileage, and nobody will even be able to see how pretty it is unless they leave the hood open every time they park the truck. Or the people that complain about the poor lighting of the factory headlights, then put in bulbs that are above 5000k.

My favorites are the huge windshield banners that say “Mustang” or whatever...no ****, its a mustang, like we wouldve mistaken it for something else...or the POS vehicles with “In memory of....” decals with unseatbelted kids jumping on the seats...whomever passed on would be proud to have their name on your rattletrap car with 4 bald mismatched tires about to become another statistic.

LOL - I saw and my first thought was, why in the H*LL would I want to put my name here? To borrow a quote from Monty Python, "I ain't dead yet"

Like Dodge Engineers? SRT4 ACR was one of the most fun cars I've ever owned, hater! 230hp/250ftlbs/30mpg was nothing to laugh at back in the day either! :p

I’m sure it was a real screamer ... Probably had one of those annoying fart-can exhausts to make it sound like the rest of the ricers runnin up and down the blvd

Two actually! All kidding aside, the SRT-4 was one of the coolest sounding turbocharged four bangers ever made, probably tying with FCA's newer pocket rocket, the Fiat 500 Abarth. Not raspy, a good amount of bass, and gurgles and pops off throttle.

Yeah the neons were greatly underrated. The nice gurgle sound comes with an un-equal length exhaust manifold. But when you want to make big power. You end up going with a equal length. Which makes it more Honda-ry lol.

When I built my evo I put an equal length tubular manifold. And hate the way it sound now. But it also makes 500 to all 4 wheels on a mustang dyno. So I live with it[emoji57]

Ah, that must be why the Mustang Ecoboost sounds like poop.
I think that is just be cause the world already knows a turbo 4 banger mustang just wont be liked. Lol.

I dont like em, especially when they have the focus RS lol.

Let the mustang keep it's nice DOHC 5.0l V8. It works, and its awesome.

There is a guy in the Texas street racing scene who has built a naturally aspirated de-stroked 5.0l. The thing revs to the moon (I think 8500rpm) and just sounds ******* glorious.

Found it. Dont know for sure if it has been de-stroked. I kinda assumed a big V8 doesn't normally like to rev to 8600rpm. Even if it is a twin cam lol.

Still. Sounds absolutely amazing, just wish they had a better camera

Focus RS is dead as of 2018, so Mustang is supposed to fill that niche.

There's also always been more affordable powertrain options available for the Mustangs and Camaros as far as I know, and the turbo four bangers seem to be more popular in that role than V6's, which is why the V6 for the Mustang was dropped entirely and now you just have the two options left. In fact, I think the non-V8s have always outsold em at least in the last few generations, as the V8s can get pricey on cost of ownership.

They also have a performance package version of the ecoboost Mustang which is supposed to out handle the GT since the engine is lighter and lower CoG.

And really the Ecoboost isn't that weak. Think about it, most of us drooled all over the Mustang Cobra R back in the day with its aluminum V8, and it makes less power than the ecoboost.

Some i'm rolling through Sacramento on I80 heading to Grass Valley Friday and pass a white RAM 1500 and the first thing I notice is it's debadged and a Hellcat emblem has been added in place of the Hemi badge on the sides. Definitely did not sound like a Hellcat, SMH

Oh wow. Didnt know the RS was being **** canned already.

I mean. They basically use the same engine. The RS just has a bigger twin scroll turbo. Intercooler. And exhaust. Well, some tuning also.

I guess I just like a mustang to make V8 noises. There is nothing worse than they guy who straight pipes his V6 mustang. They sound awful.

Fun fact. The RS engines are popping like popcorn. I watched a cool video explaining. Apparantly Ford reinforced the block with extra aluminum. To hold more power. But when a cross section of a block was done. At some points there is like less than 1/4 of aliminum between the cylinder, and the great outdoors. It's crazy to see how thin it is.

The only thing I dislike about the RS. Is that not every kid around me has one, and thinks he's keen block. They sit at red lights banging the launch control and popping flames. I just wonder do you have any idea how bad that **** is for your turbo? Launch control is fine and all, but when you are tuning g it to spit 5ft flames out the back, your seals wont be lasti g too long lol

The V6 was a big factor on why i didnt get a Raptor versus getting the Hemi Ram. even though the V6 was putting out more HP, just wasnt trickin my trigger, plus the newer Rams look alot better then the fords do. The Fords just look so basic and "grandpaish" where as the Rams just look tough and sound mean

We need the active-exhaust they use on the chargers and challengers though. Let it be nice and quiet when pulling out of the garage at 5AM, but at WOT it should open the active-exhaust bypass and let it roar!

I can vouch for the straight piped V6 Mustang sounding like ****. There's one at my school that has no muffler, no cats, and an offroad x pipe and sounds like complete dog ****
