Just Ordered Ram Classic in Robin Egg Blue - Questions!

Yeah - it will for sure be the only 1500 regular cab Hemi 4x4 in Robin Egg Blue. 1 of 1 for sure.

And the roller coaster ride continues. As of today my order is BACK in D1 status. This is the second time it’s been in D1. They still can’t give me any kind of date but it’s a good sign I think that it’s D1 again.

Well - the saga continues. Today I was notified that our order was moved back again from D1 to D.

And nobody can tell anyone why.

We don’t really need the truck - it’s really more of a “want” thing for my wife so we are willing to wait. We could switch to white at some point but in for a penny in for a pound!

Weekly update - our order remains in D1 status but no estimated build date. Today is the 6 month anniversary of our order!!

Here's a thought (which may have already been mentioned?).... I assume when one special orders a vehicle, the discounts are not huge (other than factory rebates). Find the truck you want on a dealer lot -- but in white color. If it's on the lot, the dealer discounts are usually great. Then, have it wrapped in the color you want. It may still be cheaper than the special order, and you then actually have a truck to drive.

My regular cab '18 Ram is almost a year old now. We waited from February to September but changed the color to Delmonico Red in May because we couldn't stand the uncertainty. It's a one of one build.

Finding one in white will be really hard. This is a tradesman regular cab 4x4 with the Hemi, vinyl bench seat, steel wheels, crank windows, 3.92 gears, towing and protection packages, CD player and 3.0 Uconnect. I doubt there’s one for sale like this in the entire country.
