You should do way better than $60K. mine was well under that the end of August. 2020 model. You might also look at the Tradesman with the Power Wagon option. I could have walked out with one of those for just over $45K. I had a tough time deciding so I let my wife decide and she liked the interior better on the Power Wagon. Mine was just over $50K otd. I do like the grill on the tradesman better.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Truly appreciated! I really havent heard anything thus far about why I shouldnt with only 1 exception.....towing. But the most I would tow is a 16 ft trailer with a 4dr Razor. And that is no problem.
It will tow the toys just fine. It is not a lack of balls. It has the horses and a good tranny. The suspension the is soft. Put the weight on the trailer and you are good to go.

Looking at a new model? 8 spd trans! I could not let my 19 with 29k go for less the 60k with what I have into it. (Though book is like 50)

I daily drive my 19.. 75 miles.. round trip everyday.. love it, once you get it you’ll see why I daily drive mine.. it’s awesome.

I can head to the woods straight after work, go through pretty much any terrain to get my game out and repeat the next day. Trucks a beast, yea it drinks gas and I fill up a lot but if I wreck on the highway I won’t die like I would in a dam Prius or tesla.

I bought mine new. Sticker price was 65k, paid 54,500 out the door.

I love the looks of them and wanted to get one until I saw the payload and towing capacities. They were less than my 1500. If you don't plan on towing over about 5000lbs then the PW is fine. You start getting up to about 7000lbs and from what I remember payload on those is about 1000lbs? At 7000 with 12-15% tongue weight you are already at max payload and that is with no passengers. But I love the trucks
my payload per the door sticker is 1565lbs and running the VIN tow is 10999lbs

I was in the same predicament as you when I was moving up to 3/4 ton from my 1500.

Everyone and their grandpa's were all pushing me to get a diesel. Funny how easy it is for people to spend your money.

Reasons why I bought my PW as my daily driver:

- Looks - Awesome looking trucks. You know one when you see it on the road, even with decals removed.
- Interior - You've seen the pics. Love the old school transfer case. Comfortable as hell and am a fan of the 6th seat.
- Uncommon - You don't see them everyday. Like seeing a unicorn.
- Off-road capabilities - I spend a lot of time on county roads and up in the Rockies when hunting. Needed the suspension and the winch to get me and others out of situations. Am yet to get into something that I haven't gotten out of myself (and there have been quite a few pucker moments for me...)
- Power / Transmission - Plenty of power and the new 8 speed is legit.
- I don't tow or haul a whole lot. Maybe a few quads every now and then and at the most I'll haul a load of mulch or tree limbs to the dump.

Don't get a PW if you're going to worry about gas. Don't get a PW if you're planning to tow a **** ton. Don't get a PW if you're gonna worry about what your boys think for getting one because if you have to explain why, they just won't understand.

No regertz.

No you won’t die or blow up neither cause most likely you don’t have enough gas to ignite!! Haha. I 2nd the daily dive to work and straight to the deer stand. Not sure why I bothered buying the Gator.

10000 pounds towing will get you though many scenarios, in your description you said you hauled rock. Doesn’t take much rock to jump over 1300 pounds with you in truck.

the pay load is way less on the PW mainly because of disconnecting sway bars etc..

It’s still a heavy duty frame , but suspension is different than an HD.

that’s the only thing I’d say on why you shouldn’t.

I have on order a 2021 PW 75th anniversary.

1500pounds no problemo. Haha I’ll get that delivered thank you very much. I’ma take a wagon.

You are right, it can add up quick. I typically would grab a yard of various gravel at a time. Two scoops of a tractor bucket. My 1500 handled it well. But, im only really driving that like 10 miles on 35mph roads. Worse case, I would use a trailer or make two trips.

Supply and demand. More buyers will drive up prices for the rest of us. That’s why not. :D

Seriously, the only shortcomings have been mentioned multiple times, not the greatest payload or towing machine. Pass everything but a gas station.

But it WILL get you places lesser trucks fear to tread, and not even break a sweat.

OTOH, if most of your 4x4 activities are moderate, spend the money on a Cummins 3500 SRW. Level that with 35’s and you have a truck with a lot more road capabilities, and all the off-road functionality that 99% of drivers will use.

I bought this one 11 months ago for your budget, brand new, level 2 optioned. End of year is usually a buyer’s market. 2020 may be something else entirely. Happy hunting!

Mine is the Tradesman with the Powerwagon option. Love it, and drive it nearly every day. It tows my 30ft travel trailer just fine. In fact I towed it from Nevada to Idaho a few months ago and it was just fine. I have added quite a few things to mine to get it closer to a true Powerwagon and I am not quite finished yet.

I went from a pavement princess 17' Sport with a 6" lift(that was totaled) to my Wagon and sometimes im glad i wrecked my 1500... lol The IFS was a bit smoother to me but Im so glad i decided to get a wagon over another 1500. This truck just feels so much more capable and stout in every aspect. I was never into getting out and wheeling a truck on rocks but ever since i got my wagon Im hooked. Taking these big girls out on the trail is where they shine

na I just need a diesel 2500 to tow with. I will put a bumper and winch on it. Love the wagon tons but I have outgrow it’s towing ability’s with my business.
