Well, I don’t really want to, but It’s time to put my 2012 up for sale, and move on to a 5th Gen .... What an awesome truck this has been ... No question it’ll be another Ram in my garage !!!6ac5ffd343d72c725483b54ee5f9790b.jpg

Wow that’s a nice looking truck. Any ideas what you’ll be looking for in a 5th gen?

I haven’t really pinned it down, but I’ll be ordering a 22 1500 Laramie Sport Crew Cab 6’4” bed with 3.92’s in Granite Gray .... Lol

Hahaha, yeah it sounds like you’re completely undecided! Looking forward to seeing the new one - hopefully you aren’t impacted by any of the delays or anything. There is nothing worse than ordering something, then having to wait!!

It's a great time for selling but a bad time for buying.

I would have thought so too, but it’s had a sign in the window, and listed on FB Marketplace since Sunday, and not much activity .... Ran the numbers on KBB, so I know I’m priced reasonably at $17,900 ... All I got are two $13,000 lowball offers .... $16,000 is all I want, and that seems more than fair for the condition, and extras

What is the mileage on it? Have you tried carvana, I’ve found that they were the typically the highest for instant offers/purchase. Carmax switched over to instant virtual estimates as well, so could give that a try if you haven’t already.

Its amazing. Put something up for sale and the nuts come out of the wood work. Years ago I put the family vehicle; a '95 Grand Cherokee up for sale; great condition but had 200K miles on it. Only asked $3000 for it. That was way less than it was really worth but I wanted to get it sold, and not have to deal with a bunch of tire kickers. This bozo shows up and starts waving around a *** of cash.
He said "Look! I'm talking $1500 cash money! Right now!"
I said "Hey, I'm talking $3000 cash or get your **** out of my yard!"
He slinked away and got into his busted looking Nissan with peeling purple window tint and no muffler and left.

Bowers your truck has always been one of my favourites on the forum. Congrats on the pending 5th Gen.

As dumb as this may sound, have you checked to see if your new truck will fit in your garage? I have a 16 Sports with the short bed and was thinking of a 5th gen then found out they are a little longer than the 4th gen---just long enough that it wouldn't fit in my garage. Might not be a problem but thought I would mention it.

That why I switched over to a 5th Gen 1500 Quad Cab with 6.4 bed... Same wheelbase/length as my 4th gen CC 5.7 bed... Fits in the garage, and kids are grown/out of the house.

That extra 4" of length on the 5th gen CC 5.7 bed is too much for many garages and the CC 6.4 bed is even longer.

YUP, definitely check on the length VS wat U got in the garage: Solid advice, as U can see, I just make it with MY 19, which is 233 inches long:

If i were to buy a new Ram or any other brand
I would buy off a dealerships sales lot

It will be awhile before we truly know what is going to happen with Factory Orders, because of the Microprocessor shortage

.....................................................

On another note, my local dealership is down to around 10 Ram 1500s, they usually have 30 or more
They still have several 2500s
