I have not been to a dealer with my used 2014 RAM 1500 5.7 4X4 unless it was for recalls.
At 97,000 I got the rear end carrier bearings replaced under warranty.
I have a trusted shop do other work like a trans fluid change and rear diff oil chag at 55,000. I do tow a 5,000# trailer occasionally, and have had the local shop do brake work, and tire rotations. I run 5W-30 synthetic oil and change it about every 7,000 miles with a quality filter.
I am approaching 100K miles and want this RAM to pull my trailer to FL and AL in January, so I am looking to my mechanic shop to do the 16 plug 100,000 mile tune up.
What else needs to be changed out or looked at besides a general safety check at 100K? Asking them to look at belts and hoses plus brakes while they do the tuneup.
I am holding out for complete radiator flush for another 25K miles as that is spec'd for 10 years or 150,000 miles, and the coolant looks fresh still.
The RAM has held up well, but I hope to get another 50K miles out of her at least, so I want to do what is necessary for that to happen.
Any help/suggestions is appreciated.
