4th Gen Remote start for under $100

Has anyone installed this in a 2006?

I'm seriously contemplating tearing out my factory starter and installing one of these in my truck.. This damn factory starter doesn't work right half the time. The truck starts, then quits seconds later. Repeats 4x then shuts down completely..

I don't think you'd have to go through the trouble of taking the factory one out for this to work since this one would just use the lock button and not the start button.

I just spoke to my buddy that is going to install my cliford for me.. He said the remote start will not set off the alarm.. So I ordered mine from Doug today.. Looking forward to installing it

Guys help me out please I'm already frustrated with this... I tried installing it and now it doesn't blink.. Only when I press the lock button 3times,it blinks in green and doesn't do anything else. Helppppp

Did you put the key in and turn it to the "On" position then turn it off and take the key out, then press the lock button?

Yes I did.. When the key is in the on position, the light is off. When I take out the key and press lock 3 times, it flashes green and the little box starts making like a ticking noise.

Yes i did. I emailed Doug my year make and model and it says it on the receipt too. I emailed him this morning to see if he knows whats going on. i tried to trouble shoot with the instruction manual but it doesn't come up.. Just waiting on Doug's reply now.

I just installed this on my new 2012 Ram ST. I love it! I spent more time trying to get the connectors disconnected in the T harness than I did on the actual install!

My question, how did you attach the unit under the dash?? Zip ties, double sided sticky tape, Velcro.....?

Double sided tape for me, over on the inside of the panel by my right foot.

Just taped up all the wires then zip tied am to something else in there lol nothing professional

I just shoved everything in there and screwed the panel back on.. That was on my wifes Journey anyway.

Thanks for the reply's for such a minor thing! I used Velcro and zip ties. I love this easy mod!!!! Remote start is awesome.
