If you have the automatic climate control and factory remote then it will enable the heat, ac, heated seat and heated wheel depending on the temp outside. Amazing.

i dont have automatic climate control, so it leaves me in the same boat. that actually doesnt bother me, i just set the heat or a/c before i get out like i have on every other car. so basically no real difference aside from hearing the horn 3 times before it starts.

Can this be programmed to both my current key and my backup at the same time in case I lose my current one? Or at least can it be programmed to a backup in the event I lose my key? (Don't plan on losing anything just don't want to be screwed too bad if I do)

Im sure it would work either way actually? since both keys are programmed to the truck anyways. they serve the exact same function and to the truck they are the same key

Installed in just a few min.. Hardest part was separating the harness.. wow they can really stick that together

I finally got around to installing a hood safety switch on mine today. It was a DEI 8613 that I bought last summer. Easy to install. I grounded one lead to the screw I mounted it with and ran the other one to the white/black wire on the 10 pin harness that came with the DBALL.

Now no one can accidentally remote start it while the hood is open and hands are in there.

Ok do I have a question.. Seems after the install I have lost some of my distance on my remote.. Prolly 50 to 60 feet has been lost on the reach.. Is there a antennae that can be added?

Not that I'm aware of. Mine didn't change range at all. In fact I can lock/start the truck from inside my house from 100 feet away.

I'm not even sure that the DBALL receives the signal from the remote itself or if it just receives a logic pulse from the ignition harness.

the battery in your remote is probably dying.

This looks like a great mod, easy and priced right. Unfortunately it looks like my 2013 1500 isn't compatible yet, but it will work for my 2007 Durango, which is awesome. Nice thread.

I just put this in my truck and it was probably the easiest install ever! I love having remote start. I just have one question. Does anyone use the wires that come off of the blue plug and if so where do they go?

Hey captnkllm if you take out the batterie and replace it with 2 cr2016 batteries then it will have a longer range than stock even

As far as I know they haven't released it for the 2013 but if you go to google and type in dball xpress kit comparability you can check
