I've been trying to disarm my seatbelt chime and cannot seem to do it with any instructions I've seen on the internet. All of the instructions use a push start and I have a plastic key. I've tried following a few different sets and cannot get it to work.Is there a writeup on this anywhere? 2014 1500 crew cab

i don't suppose your able to turn it off only for the driver? i wear my seatbelt 100% of the time on the roads but while at home just moving the truck or backing a trailer in i'll take it off and the chime drives me nuts. however i want it for passengers since i have a few people that refuse to wear it but the chime is annoying enough it forces them to

Do what I do, randomly slam on the brakes to make them bounce around until they out their seat belt on.

lol ya that works.

Also, the light will stay on even though the chime is off. So if you just look to your right and say "put your ******** seat belt on" i'm sure you'll get some positive results lol

This was one of the best hidden features I've ever used. EVERY Dodge truck I get in now, I disable the chime. I wear my seatbelt all the time, but its those times where you just have it off for those few seconds, like Andy said.

I use my truck ice fishing. That means driving it out on the lake five miles or so. Not the place to have a seat belt on. You can figure out why lol

That could go both ways, I see one big Lake in the state, I also know people fish on green Bay. I know there are not too many inland lakes that you can drive out 5 miles so I figured I would be one of the great Lakes.

..or just simply don't let them get in and make them walk to where they want to go. Usually best done in bad or inclement weather. They'll comply soon enough. :D

That's not as much fun for me, usually they don't make it 1 mile. I only mess with the backseat passengers, if they are in the front seat I don't leave the parking until their seat belt is on.

just use a seat belt extender, push it into the seat belt latch and no bell no light on the dash

All passengers wear a seat belt at all times....... except... we have a long driveway, and the wife pops off that belt as soon as we turn in. And the damn truck barks about it almost instantly. I can see the value in disabling it while not trying to bypass the safety feature. And the ice lake one, you bet. I can see that.
