Any other Pentastar truck owners out there? I'm curious what your experience is with the truck and it's mileage.
Just thought I'd share...
Decided on yesterday's trip from Greenville, SC to Roanoke, VA (i85 / i77 / i81) for my son's graduation that I would leave the truck in tow/haul mode and see what the mpg's looked like.
I'm the original owner of a 2013 Pentastar v6/8spd CC 4x4 (3.21 rear) with over 22k miles on it and with the rolling hills and occasional mountain areas I find tow/haul mode let's the truck hunt gears a little less, holds cruise control speed with less drift and better throttle response (easier than using the gear +/- limit buttons also).
Traffic was light (Sunday afternoon) except for the occasional idiot in the left lane doing less than or barely the speed limit and not getting over (rant) and it was just me, my occasionally heavy foot, and a few days worth of stuff.
302 miles and 22.5 mpg @68mph & 4hrs 25mins
(1st 150 miles showed 24mpg before I hit the Appalachian mountains)
Typical city mpg for me is about 17-18mpg.
6/11/16 Edit: just made the drive back with the same setup
302 miles and 21.5 mpg @67mph & 4hr 29mins
