So, I’ve been pricing out dif and TC fluid to change mine out.

I need:

SAE 75W85 x 2qts

BW44-44 x 2qts

75W140 w/LSD x 3qts

Here was the breakdown in the same order, per qt.

Safford Dodge: $75, $73, $75

Lustine Dodge: $78, $56, $27

Lyndsay Dodge: $17, $31, $21

I’ll be going out of my way and heading over to Lyndsay after work today..

I know I can find 75w140 anywhere and cheaper, but figured I’ll just grab it from the dealer while I’m there. I can’t find BW44-44 anywhere else, and I’d have to order 75W85 online since I can’t find it on the shelf. I believe Redline makes it.

Just make sure they are giving you the right stuff! Sometimes cheaper means they just "assumed" what fluid you actually need, especially with the 44-44.

I’m assuming they only carry one Mopar 44-44 oil for the TC, but I’ll double check.

Yep, just one for it. But if the parts counter guy "assumed" its the same as the 44-45 fluid and gave you that price, it will be incorrect :)

Another option, and hear me out I know it's gonna sound crazy, is ordering online. You can usually find the best price AND have it shipped to your door.

You can’t find BW44-44 anywhere other than the dealer. Red Line is the only manufacturer I can find that makes 75W85, and it’s more expensive than the dealer’s full synthetic. Mind blown right? Lol

HUH? It's for sale on Amazon, e-bay, and about a dozen other online retailers...
Average price I found in my 30 second google search was $25 a quart.

I searched it too but it wasn’t BW44-44. What you get are similar products but not 44-44. Here is the product number 68049954AA.

If you found it by all means share the link.

I found a seller on ebay that was $12.99 qt a couple years back, should've bought them all and sold to everyone on a 200% markup!

Nice! But here it says it’s for a 44-40. That’s the problem I kept running into. Mine’s a 44-44.

Soooo, I went to the dealer to settle any part number confusion.. They made it worse. I gave them my vin, they looked up the TC fluid, and their system shows 68049954AA.. The reason it’s even more frustrating is that all three dealers in my area are out of it... I can order it through them. It can take up to 2 weeks to receive..
