    Do a search for the "TMR" mod that only 03's can do. By pulling one wire you'll be disabling torque management, and from what I understand, it will give you the neck-snapping shifts you're looking for.

    The 04+ models don't have a separate TCM like you have, it is integrated into the PCM. Unfortunately, you'd have to upgrade your PCM to a 04 or 05. This requires a major wiring upgrade.

    For what it's worth, I have pacesetter longtubes into their 3" Y pipe with no cats. I was going to add cats for the same reasons then I swapped my 14" magnaflow for a 22" magnaflow. Huge reduction in noise. I dunno what exhaust you have going on, but a simple muffler change worked for me.
