Automatic Power Folding Mirrors

Hello Everyone,

I would like to know if it's possible to have my power folding mirrors fold in automatically when I lock truck from remote.

I have searched threads and have found many regarding power mirror swaps so I apologize if this is a repeat thread.

I have never heard of that being an option. I believe they can only be folded using the button on the door. Look at your options list in your controls on your head unit and check owners manual. If you don't see anything there I doubt it can be done.

My factory mirrors only fold when I push the button, so unless I remember to fold them they are sticking out. Also when I start the engine or put it in Drive they remain folded. Handy but sometimes it's annoying.

I'm not sure, but could you rewire the set-up? Maybe tie into the door lock wiring from the button? Whichever wire activates when you push the button to fold them in, you could maybe tie that into the lock wires.

But, now that I think about it, if you did that, your mirrors would fold in and out when the truck starts rolling and automatically locks the doors. Hmmm... Could be a start though.

I too wish the mirrors would fold in automatically, I was surprised not to find that option in the uConnect options or whatever it's called. I always forget when I park. I can make the mirrors tilt down in reverse at least...
