Is this a good option/price for 6.4 lift BDS w/fox shocks

Came across this on eBay. Is it a good deal for a 3” lift and does it include all of the necessary parts? I don’t want my truck to ride any worse than it already does, 2018 Ram 2500 6.4. I don’t know jack about lift kits other than they raise your truck. Here is the only info they give on the kit:

The newest addition to the 2500 Ram suspension line follows the same design as the 3500 Ram 4-Link conversion options.

Like our popular 2005-2014 Ford Super Duty systems, we replace the factory radius arm setup for 4-link system. The design starts with 2 massive frame brackets that provide the mounting points for the new upper and lower control arms. These brackets locate off of the factory radius arm brackets, no factory bracket removal required.

The new 4-Link brackets mount similar to the current radius arm relocation brackets, wrapping the frame and nesting in the factory radius arms mounts. As with BDS' radius arm brackets, there is a minor amount of welding required to install the threaded frame insert (1 per side).

This insert is necessary to provide the strongest possible mount. The new control arm positions at the frame create better suspension geometry and reduce caster change through wheel travel compared to the radius arm setup. This creates better handling and more controlled steering "feel", especially in rough terrain when the suspension is allowed to travel and articulate.

The large diameter, heavy-wall tubular control arms are formed for tire clearance when turning and position the axle slightly forward from stock to create more clearance to the rear portion of the front fenders.

In the rear the 2014-17 2500s have a rear multi-link, coil spring suspension similar in design to that of the 09-up Ram 1500s. For this new system, the rear lift is accomplished with massive new 4.5" progressive rate coil springs. These new springs provide an amazing ride and are designed to stand up to any load the new 3/4 ton trucks were built to handle.

An axle mounted track bar relocation bracket repositions the rear track bar and centers the axle. Extended sway bar links keep the rear sway bar at the optimum operating angle. Replacement rear shocks round out the rear lift and provide that desired level stance.

The price is what I was wondering about. I didn’t know if maybe I could get it cheaper by buying the shocks and lift separately. I’m also curious about how my truck would drive after installing the lift. I have a rough country leveling kit on it now with the bilstein 4600 shocks now and it is a really bumpy and stiff ride. Even the slightest bump will throw your ******** up into your throat.

For that price look at thuren your truck will ride 10x better on his kit and its not much more.

I’ve already checked into their kits. They’re 2 or 3 times more expensive

I have the 4" BDS on my '16 single cab.
After doing the math, the kit was about $1100., and $750. for the install. Has the Fox 2 shocks. Your still going to have a firm ride, but better on the 37's aired down to 50psi. Factory Firestones at recommended pressures ride hard. Steering is great and tight, no aftermarket stabilizer.
I'd do it again, anyday.
Cheers.

What do you want to accomplish?
Height?
Travel?
Ride quality?
Factory pay load rating? Keep or sacrifice?

I’d like a little more height to maybe run 37s in the future, currently on 35s with a leveling kit so I don’t want all that much more height. Maybe 2 more additional inches in the front and back. I’d like the ride to be a little softer as well

I don’t think it’s a scam, it’s a reputable ebay vendor with about 17,000 transactions. They also have a website www.liftkits4less.com

Here watch this.

You can fit 37”s with a lvl kit, mind you, you’re wheel will need x amount of offset and back spacing, some members have run 37”s on factory 20”s with a 1” or 2 “ wheel spacer, looked really good.

If you are not happy with a lvl and you want it higher, you might as well jump to a 4” kit, and for the price of a 4” kit you might as well jump to a 6” kit.

A good kit with new Springs should improve ride quality “ Depending on the manufacture”

Your level now and you want 2 more inches, Look for a 4” kit. Bds, icon, rough country, and so on.

That was very informative thanks. So the kit I posted was a BDS kit

How do Thuren shocks compare to other aftermarket shocks like Fox?

The Thuren coils are awesome. The overlander shocks are decent stock replacements but if you plan to off road I would go with one of the Thuren options to compliment the coils spring rate with the better valving.

Let us know if we can help you out as we offer many options and discounts for the members here!

Both Thuren and Carli shocks are tuned for the HD trucks to compliment thier spring rate or the factory spring rate. You can’t go wrong with either. Quite a few members on here have them, I think they use fox, but again they are not just a “ OFF the shelf” shock, they are tuned for the hd”s.

Thinking maybe this setup with the 3” coils in front and 1” coils in rear. Do I really need the track bar? It’s pretty damn expensive

Need? No, but it is highly recommended, especially with your truck not being a power wagon (they have a longer track bar).

Your axle will be off center quite a bit. Not to mention, any slight wear will not be exaggerated by the added lift.

You can run it without it for a bit and see if you have any issues. I would just add it right off the bat, though.

This is my exact opinion as well. Its not a need but HIGHLY recommended.
