Tried this in the Lifted forum and didn't get much feedback...

About a month ago I installed the Bilsteinleveling kit with shocks on my 2015 Ram 2500. Ever since then I have a pretty bad vibration between 70-80mph. I also installed 35" Duratracs at the same time. I thought maybe the tires were the problem but I switched back to my previous tires and still had the issue. I ended up putting the 35's back on since my older tires were getting worn. I have had it aligned with both sets of tires, had both sets of tires balanced twice and still have the issue. Any ideas on what's causing the vibration? I know when I installed a lift kit on my old Jeep the difference in the angle of the transfer case and the front drive shaft caused a bad vibration. Could this be the same thing?

Following this as I'm in the market for a level for my 2019 2500 and was leaning towards this kit. Goodluck, I'm sure someone on here will have an answer for you. I'm new to HD so sorry I dont have an answer for you.

I have the exact same truck, exact same kit, and exact same problem. Hopefully somebody smarter than me knows how to fix.

Well mine is going into the dealer next week. They screwed up the steering wheel when they did the alignment so I’m gonna have them fix that and take a look at the vibration.

So I’ve had every suggestion under the sun about what the problem could be. At this point I’m thinking I may have to get rid of all the Bilstein parts and try something else. Probably either go with Fox or Therun’s kit.

Have you tried to reach out to a rep from Bilstein? I would try that and see what they have to say before I removed everything.

I haven’t yet. I’m definitely going to try. I did take a look tonight and noticed this. Doesn’t seem right. f9849974bfc35f6b54c4c46f0b2028c1.jpg

rsz_1daves_truck.jpg I have the same kit on my 2018 2500 Tradesman with NO issues. I even have larger wheels & tires on From the pictures it appears that the spring is not seated in the exact same position that he oem was. This should be corrected as on side could not be higher then the other. The steering wheel fix was easy with mine. Just remove airbag and nut that hold steering wheel on and adjust reassemble.

If you pull the wheel you can put it back straight. The steering wheel will be off after installation of the leveling kit since the track bar is actually in shorter configuration.

I had a problem like this. My front tires even wore bad because of it. It looked like bad shocks, yet the shocks wore less than 1yr old.

Turns out my issue was the top shock mount. I guess I did not torque down the nuts hard enough. The top rubber shock mount was loose. Tighten the top bolts and all issues fixed.

Dude thank you sooo much. I’ll give this a try. You’re the first person who has had an actual fix to try! I’ll reply with an update after I do it. Do you remember what you torqued them to?

I used the " good n tight " method. :)

I tighten till the rubber mounts on top of shock squeezed out a little

The cups on for the springs on these trucks sit at an angle. Def make sure they’re seated correctly. The driveline needing corrected would cause a shudder at take off. And is cured by shims. Did tires get road force balanced? I have vibrations at 70mph plus. Running thuren kit shocks, springs, trackbars and no sway bar. But my vibrtarion I’m certain is my tires as they’re almost chunked out lol. I’m betting tires

So I ended up putting new tires on the truck just to try and eliminate that variable. It definitely helped but I still feel like there is more vibration than what there should be. Also the truck just doesn’t feel right in the front end. Steering seems a little loose and unresponsive. Could be the oversized tires. I’m considering taking it to a 4wheelparts store but the closest one is 2.5 hours away from me. I just don’t really trust and of my local shops at this point.
