Call the FBI...never mind. Call Trump. Lol

LOL - I was going to suggest "Click and Clack" from Car Talk, but Tom passed several years ago, so I guess that leaves us with Geraldo Rivera, Nancy Grace, Dear Abby, or Judge Judy

FCA may double your payoff. Hang in there. You may even go on tv shows and be able to sell t-thirts and things and make even more money. Especially if someone starts screaming raaacccisst!! And evil corporations and greedy rich people too.

@Octane , I have a sense of humor, but I don’t get the sarcasm...

You said it right here, you’re “afraid” to go to the dealership...

NO ONE who spends 30-40-80 grand on a vehicle should ever feel “afraid” to go to their dealership.

That’s exactly what I’m fighting for.....for FCA to step in and do something so that the dealerships aren’t allowed to get away with murder....

You should never feel like you’re going to have to “battle” with your dealership.

@Octane

Looking at some of your posts, it looks like you’ve had many negative interactions with FCA — you’ve certainly ranted about it on here several times.

Yet, when I try and actually DO something about it (other than simply posting rants) and try and bring real change to the way FCA enables the dealerships to a screw people like you and me over, you reply with snarky comments.....

Again, I have a sense of humor, but I don’t appreciate the sarcasm....

You, as well seem to have your suspicions about unscrupulous dealers as you’ve ranted on this forum before.

You actually advised another member to try and get proof that their dealer was negligent -- yet, when I actually gather tangible evidence and prove that a dealership was knowingly negligent (the part you thought would be hard, maybe impossible), you make jokes....

Sounds like DieselGate needs to do something instead of beatin' on us and the forum about it. As for me if I had an issue of extreme importance it would be my state attorney,the office of consumer affairs that would do my bidding.As they can actually shut a business down till they remedy an issue.But that's just me...

Litigating legal matters in an open forum can hurt any potential case you may have.

As I've mentioned, I'm not trying to sue FCA for millions -- I'm simply trying to make them aware of problems in their processes that allow dealerships to commit this type of warranty fraud without any fear of getting caught or facing any repercussion from FCA.

I'm hoping that by making FCA aware, they will put better practices in place so that other innocent people don't get scammed in the future.

Not only that, these scams affect FCA negatively because the dealerships are basically stealing money from FCA.

I've said it over and over again, I'm more than willing to show FCA all of the fully unredacted emails and evidence I have, but they don't seem to care -- not even @RamCares -- who oh so publicly posted on here saying they were willing to help -- has responded to my PM.

I know it sounds a little fishy -- that someone is not seeking money for them self, but rather trying to protect other people from being scammed...but that's it -- I genuinely, genuinely, genuinely want to ensure that people don't have to ever go through what that dealership put me through.

Imagine how I felt when I was handed a 5-figure repair bill and led to believe I was responsible for messing up my truck by putting gasoline int he diesel engine....

NO ONE SHOULD EVER BE MADE TO FEEL LIKE THAT....EVER.

FCA has the power to put better checks and balances into place to ensure the dealerships are more closely monitored....I'm just trying them to get them to do so......

My guess is, they are not responding for the very reason I mentioned. That is to say, the relatively low level employee has probably been muzzled while the mucky-mucks figure out how to respond, while covering their ample derrière.

I totally get it...that's why I figured by posting on a public forum, it might light a fire under that ample derriere and make them more inclined them to respond quicker in hopes of getting this thing resolved asap, and putting a muzzle on me...

I've already tried all of the emails, phone numbers, etc. before posting on here...

There's always the "go to the media" thing, but then I'm worried I'll lose control of the situation and it will become something that it's not -- my story will become diluted with countless other people telling their stories -- and we won't see any real progress from FCA in terms of instituting better business practices to protect both the customer, and FCA from being left so vulnerable to getting scammed from people at the dealership-level.

What you are doing is noble but.....you could have taken their money....and still continue doing what you are doing. What are they gonna do....ask you to return the money. I think you missed a good opportunity....nobility has it's price.

Dieselgate, have you filed a complaint with your local law enforcement agency? If not, why not? If a crime has been committed they will do exactly what you claim you want to achieve. They will make sure it does not happen to anyone else and hold the perpetrators accountable. Heck, cops are like everyone else, they hate car salesmen too.

No offense, you act like your the first one to ever get screwed over by a dealership. No. You're not and wont be the last. You failed at calling your AG. The one single advice multiple people keep telling you, yet you want to call FCA first and foremost. You've mentioned multiple times that you hope the dealership loses their license. How pitiful you hope such a thing. This could very well be an isolated incident at this particular dealership. Contact your attorney general. Get in contact with consumer fraud. It's their JOB. Not FCA. Dont worry, FCA will know about it too.
