Good morning all,

I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with steering wheel switches on the front of my steering wheel, nothing on the back. If I get the same exact steering wheel to swap out, is it a straight swap or would the dealer need to program the new steering wheel? Thanks for any responses.

Straight swap, be mindful of the clock spring position. It needs to stay stationary during the swap.

I sure do miss the simpler times when the only question to come up re: swapping a steering wheel was "Do you want the 10" or the 7" chrome, welded chain wheel?" LOL.

LOL

Brings back my old times too, my first car was a 69 Mustang Fastback with black house paint as it’s finish, the steering wheel was a mini black plastic wheel, my friend had one of those mini chrome chain link steering wheels, he wouldn’t part with it though, good times.
