I had the basic RES radio with satellite. Screen burned out/dark on the left side.Nicely done and clean.
I‘d like to hear more about how you did it, and what was involved.
Did some checking on a lot of forums about what factory radio would work. Found I could easily upgrade as long as I found a high speed bus Radio. RER, RHB, RHR RBZ. Etc come in both high speed and low speed CAN bus versions. Some like the RHR or RHB had more function and less to install than others. Like a GPS antenna needed for RER.
Picked an RHR from ebay out of a '12 T&C mopar #P05091209AD there are diff part no for each make. Picked up a mygig Mic kit mopar #82211743AB. And ordered a dual sat antenna for sat radio and GPS mopar #68276410AB. My 2010 sat antenna only had single.
Carefully removed apillar trim, didn't touch airbag. Removed driver lower dash trim and center trim around the radio.
Disconnected battery, removed the old radio, then threaded the mic from apillar down thru the dash to the radio hole attached jumper, and zip tied it in a few spots to keep it in place.
Plugged the radio back in, put battery neg back on. Chrysler screen displayed when I turned on the key. I entered the security code. (Was given toe by seller so I didn't have to contact dealer with donor vin.)
Turned off key and turned it back on and dodge splash screen showed.
Paired my phone, tried a call, streamed from youtube music, and made sure voice commands worked.
Re assembled dash to be done with the radio part of the install.
Next step is to take apart interior on back corner of truck and install the new sat antenna so satellite radio and nav will work. The antenna should be here Monday.
