No disrespect but I just researched both of those Michelin models and there a light truck tire only rated for around 2100 lbs, unless i was reading the wrong criteria. Either way neither model comes in a 235/80/17First choice Michelin X LT A/S second LTX M/S2
I forgot to notice you have DRW sorry, the ones I put on my 06 2500 were greatNo disrespect but I just researched both of those Michelin models and there a light truck tire only rated for around 2100 lbs, unless i was reading the wrong criteria. Either way neither model comes in a 235/80/17
No disrespect but the truck is all legal and that's based on factory specs and not even what we all know the true capabilities are. The only number I'm close on is The pl# and I honestly don't pay that much mind to and just follow gawr since that's all that's enforced. The question is not on the truck, its on suggested tires only please. At that 5th size, i would be thinking about upgrading my truck to a class 5 rather than looking at tires.
Just checked out the toyo' s, they look like a good tire, its a contenderI'm in the market for tires right now... Seems simple huh. I'm in Oklahoma so winter is only a problem for a few weeks out of the year... So I'm looking for a HWY tire that can survive the shoulder wear these things have. My long time goto guy for tires is suggesting Firestone Transforce AT2 or the TOYO Open country H/T II. Both have typical reviews.
Please correct me if I’m wrong. Shouldn’t the tire pressure be the other way around? 80 rear 65 front? Is it a duelly, that's a joke right , cause no srw can haul a 27k trailer.
My pl is 5200 and I'm at 5200
Front axle is at 5200 and rated for 6000
Rear axle is at 8800 and rated for 9750
Tires are of coarse e rated which means just over 3k on each
Fronts at 80 psi, rears at 65 psi per specs
Nexens are junk and we all know that.
I need a recommendation for a hd tire
Rear duels are supposed to be set at 65 psi because they share the load and fronts at 80 psi because there singles with no help next to themPlease correct me if I’m wrong. Shouldn’t the tire pressure be the other way around? 80 rear 65 front?
Read much? Did I say hauling? No, I said empty. 65 is ridiculous when empty.Too much bulge and washy feeling hauling at that low of pressure. Not a good recommendation.
Well the thread topic is finding a good tire for full timer RV hauling heavy so....Read much? Did I say hauling? No, I said empty. 65 is ridiculous when empty.
