I have a 2015 RAM 1500 Pickup 2WD 47K miles and would like to have put in EATON Detroit Locker in the differential or equivalent in another brand

Of all the Eaton choices I prefer the Detroit Locker. Are there others that function similarly in same price range or better ? I am in construction and I get stuck sometimes on wet grass and it is embarrassing !

I had a Detroit Locker in a Dakota years ago. Good unit, but it'll sure make some noises that make people look.

I don't know what made me choose that unit back then, but I wouldn't go so aggressive for a street driven vehicle again. It's just not needed.

I’m looking at an Eaton true trac for my truck if i manage to destroy the factory lsd. Or when I wear it out. The factory lsd is actually a pretty durable unit as long as you keep up with the fluids.

Is the computer not trying to brake one wheel to get the other one moving?
