I have a 2022 Ram 1500 Rebel 5.7L e-Torque and wanting to install a Redarc BCDC1250D along with a LifePo4 Lithium Ion 300ahr battery. I had a local installer install a dual battery system last year but they said that the Redarc wouldn't function because this truck doesn't have an alternator but a starter/generator. I've spoken with the folks at Redarc and they tell me the BCDC1250D will work. I look at the wiring directions and it appears to me that there shouldn't be any issues with installation or operation but what do I know, I'm no engineer. LOl. I'm using the Redarc because it has a special configuration for charging Lithium battery's because those battery's have different charge rates. Anyone have any experience doing this with an e-Torque?
