So.... trying to figure this out, 2012 Ram Laramie 4x4 5.7 Hemi, was in and had an oil change and emmision sensor module replaced, which eliminated a problem with Gas cap message. A few days later, truck was a little bit hard starting, but did go. Next day, battery dead. Jumped it, ran fine. Next day Battery dead even after having trickle charger on all night. Had to use it for long trip (over 1200 KM) Dead battery ...again, jumped it, and away we went. Engine light on and off intermittently, gauges look fine, appeared to be charging on the trip.
We were able to turn off for re fueling on trip and restarted...albeit weak starting. Stayed overnight, headed home next day. Dead battery in the morning, got AAA to come and jump it. Same on trip home, engine light on and off, but now cant turn off for re fueling or truck will not start, but was having enough power to run, a/c, radio, etc on the way home. 9 hours in driving, stopped for fuel, wont start, used a little jumper battery deal that we had bought, go t it going, truck went about 10 feet and died. Jumped with the dooey again, and managed to get home with it, but did not run anything extra... no ac no radio no fan. LED lights were flickering on temp read out. Parked it at home, put trickle charger on, now truck is so dead you cant even pop the door locks with the fob. So.... question is: is it the battery (could be original...don't know) could it be the alternator, or would that have simply shut the truck down? Or is it a computer glitch? After Jumping the truck the last time, "service 4 wheel drive" message came on, and when we arrived home, went to put it into 4x4 and it would not engage. Please help this old lady! Thanks in advance!

Go to some auto parts store where they will LOAD TEST the battery & connect your truck up to a scan tool, to try to retrieve any trouble codes

If the battery won't take a charge you'll need to replace that before any further diagnosis.
