It would be a real good investment in time/money being from the great state of Ohio, to get it undercoated bc the bodies on these trucks do rust. A buddy's '13 has rust holes you could put 3 fingers through! All the areas you know about plus the gas tank support frame. Keep that fine looking machine...um, fine looking. And really (nobody does this kind of thing but me), given that it's 8yrs old, a guy would benefit by getting up and over the wheel wells with a thin fabbed-up instrument like in the picture below (with a gentle porpose-looking nose), and dislodge all the accumulated stones, rocks & sand that end up there. You can't hose those rocks out because they lodge in tight. Then wash, let dry ..and THEN have it undercoated. Otherwise yer just encasing sand rocks & gravel. I removed a couple 3 hand fulls from EACH rear wheel well on mine a few yrs ago ...and it's a pavement princess. Just a thought.
And honestly (I hate when people say that..lol), I personally think using oil up there would make more sense. Because most undercoating is thick and stays gooey. It's going to trap and hold any debris that gets in there and you won't be able to get it out easily. Whereas oil is thinner and you can get up there again and clean out and re-treat. But nobody takes my suggestions anyway.. the key thing is to do SOMETHING to keep her looking great. So if it's taking it to a shop for undercoating, better to do that than wait and watch it disintegrate before your eyes. The pic below outlines the inner wheel arch where you need to get from the backside and dislodge the rocks & debris.

I won't kid you, it's a lot of work. Some larger stones you have to really work at to dislodge. But the payoff will be when it looks fantstic at your 20th wedding anniversary! I would put oil/undercoating in the frame too. Salt loves to do its evil work inside box frames!
