I got in 1 of 3 skid plates.

This is a good reference thread for them.

I ordered the kits that come with the bolts. I think it's the cross member that's back ordered.

I ordered from allmoparparts.com and have used them a few times before too.

What just came in
Mopar Skid Plate Kit Front Axle & Transfer Case
Parts Department
RAM1500FRSKIDPLATEKIT

What what I'm waiting on
Mopar Skid Plate Kit Front Axle & Transfer Case & Crossmember
Parts Department
82214497

Mopar Skid Plate Electric Power Steering Kit
Parts Department
RAMPSSKIDPLT

Simple and easy to install. Especially the plate I just got in today with just 4 bolts. I used the thread above for reference and lined up the holes like he did. Quick and done in probably a couple minutes. Torqued to 156 in lbs. I used a small 1/4" in lbs torque wrench that was much easier to manage under the truck.

Just plugged this hole and ordered 5 new tires to be installed next week. Was going to do so next month anyway. Ordered Nokian Outpost nAT 275/70r17.

The Nokians got in the other day and mounted today.

Nokian Outpost nAT 275/70r17

So nice to be back on full tread again

Fits perfectly for what I want. I didn't want poke and still fully covered by the mud flaps.

Ride feels good and I didn't notice any more road noise than what I had before. Will see in say 20k miles if that's still the same. Worse tires for noise I've ever had were some wranglers. Don't remember which ones. But they were an AT.

Surprisingly no change at all to speedo or very little. On my Yokohama's at 60 or 70 GPS put me 1mph under. With these it's still the same but did see GPS fluctuate a couple times to the cruise control's set speed so I guess it's closer than it was before. Skinny peddle still feeling fun when needed.

2 of 3 skid plates done now

This one was twice as difficult... 2 parts and 8 bolts. I did use my floor jack to help though on the cross member like on the reference thread I linked to before.

Looks like it's the riv nuts that are in back order for the power steering plate. I'm looking into piecing it together myself and drill the rivnut holes a bit to use non-mopar ones.

3 of these 8AN Male to 3/8" NPT Fitting Straight Aluminum Black

2 of these 8AN 90 Degree Push Lock Hose Fitting, Aluminum Barb Black
1/2" Barb, 3/4-16 UNF

For the drain one of these
8AN 45 Degree Push Lock Hose Fitting End Black

Love being able to get the barbs in exactly the positions I want them in with this setup. Thanks @Wild one

It does widen the footprint but still fit the space perfectly. And I can easy remove with out undoing the hoses. I still need to get a length of hose for the drain

That looks good Jason. The biggest benefit is how easy it is to remove the can. I usually take my Moroso cans off at least once a year and give them a good cleaning, and it's a piece of cake to remove the can.

I'm about 3k miles early but it was so freaking nice today and who knows what it will be like in another 3k miles. With the trutrac I'll probably move up to 20k mile intervals. It's easy enough to do.
