What is a decent battery jump starter?

Plugging into one of the trucks USB Ports should charge only with the engine running. Right?

/* edit */
Seems the USB Ports are active with or without the truck being energized. I guess I will have to just keep this handy, in sight, to help remember to charge this from time to time.
I really wouldn't worry about it too much. If my $60 amazon pack can stay charged for months I would imagine the more expensive one you bought will too. Just check it every couple few months

On smart phones you can set up a reoccurring Task reminder for how ever many months you want, set one up to remind you to charge the jump pack every 4 to 6 months.

No cell phone. I'll have to see if my Samsung Tablet has a calender reminder app.
.
My Samsung tablet is really old, and Android if that is relevant, and
it has a calendar app. Hard to imagine a device not having a calendar
as popular as they are. Mine also will "pop up" a reminder when I turn
it on, or sound a small alert.

It's been so long I can't recall if it came with it or if I added it, but I use
the one in my smart phone for every little thing. I learned over 60 years
ago I cannot trust my memory for many things.
I can be real absent-minded.

Downloaded the Reminder App for the Samsung. Once a month reminder.

Probably won't need it that often, but of course it only takes a few seconds to check it. I plug my Noco in twice per year, tops off in a few minutes.

Agree. But the options are once a month or once a year. Tested the App and it works, so for the first couple of months I'll be on the safe side.

Sound wisdom. I also prefer to know as opposed to winging it. I remember trying to charge my Noco when it was new, I needed to know I could trust it. As a result of those earliest charges I now know I can stretch it out a lot further.

From what I have read it is not good to keep a lithium battery either 100% charged, or near 0%. Both will shorten it's life.
I hope yours satisfies your requirements. ;)

Set two yearly reminders. First one 6 months from today, second 12 months from today. Set to repeat each reminder 4 times. If you want four reminders a year, add two more between those 2
