    Loss of power steering

From what the dealer said, it’s a new “kit” that includes manifolds with updated hardware. I believe the manifolds are the same, part numbers for the manifolds were: 68591585aa, 68591586aa. Apparently since they’ve done manifold and stud replacements with the new hardware, they haven’t seen any...

    Loss of power steering

Update on my power steering issue. Took it to my local RAM dealer. The electric power steering rack was definitely bad. The new rack resolved most of the issue but the steering still felt notchy and stiff. There were random points of resistance throughout the steering travel, it alternated...

    Loss of power steering

Getting my EPS replaced at the dealer right now (thank you Carmax extended warranty). Looks like it’s going to take a couple weeks for the dealer to get the EPS unit.

Can anyone identify this leaking hole near the ECU please?

Fast replies, thank you all. So it actually is the AC, nice. There’s no other fluid leaks and it’s been around 80F and 50% humidity out here and the thing still drips more water than my Sequoia with dual ACs did. The water being hot is what concerned me as well, it’s not coolant hot but it’s...

Can anyone identify this leaking hole near the ECU please?

I’m getting a lot of hot water dripping out of this hole near the ECU. Thought it was condensation but it seems excessive for AC condensation. It’s clear, hot, and odorless. Should there be a hose attached to this thing? It’s in a difficult spot to take pictures of. It’s circled in red in each...

Haha it happens to the best of us. I read it like 8 times just to be sure lol.

    axle help?

Nothing there states if the struts are extended struts or not.

    axle help?

OP did not mention lifted struts so 1.5” spacers shouldn’t be an issue here. I had my truck on 3” spacers without brackets for almost a year and it was indeed not ideal as I already mentioned. With blown factory shocks and struts it rode like garbage actually.

    axle help?

They’re not ideal but a 1.5 inch strut spacer should not be causing the axles to bind. I had 3 inch spacers without binding out the axles. Popping the axle back in was the fix and removing the spacers likely had nothing to do with it. The only damage that may have occurred would be to the...

    Body Lift install question

I have the 3” PA kit as well. No issues here either with ditching the fan shroud.

    Adding to suspension lift?

You can get another inch or two with full length coilovers in the front and taller springs in the rear. This looks like Florida Man's lift kit of choice.

    OFFSET+19

What’s the new tire size for the new wheels? A 0mm offset will move the wheels (and tires) outboard by 3/4 inch (19mm). It’s probably fine unless your new tires are much wider.

    Readylift and body lift

I don't have experience with Readylift specifically, but I did have a 3'' inch spacer lift with a 3'' body lift using stock struts and shocks. My truck did not ride well, even on the street, due to the front strut and rear coil spacers forcing the suspension to ride way too high in its travel...

Will 33x12.5's fit on a stock 17x7 rim?

It depends on the specific tire make and model. Look up the spec sheet (or post the tire and we can look it up), it will tell you what the min and max rim width is for that tire. I’m going to guess the 12.5 tire is too wide. BFG K02 in 33x12.5 for example list a rim width range of 8.5-11”.

8.4 Uconnect network connection always shows as disconnected (circle with line through it)

Got it thank you. Did some reading on the 4G adapters and people are having a ton of issues with them. Sounds like too much of a headache just to be able to send GPS coordinates from my phone to the head unit. :/

8.4 Uconnect network connection always shows as disconnected (circle with line through it)

My truck is a 2016 with the factory 8.4 GPS head unit. The uconnect connection icon (cellular bar icon) now has a circle with a line through it showing it can’t get a connection at all. Is this caused by a sharkfin antenna issue or is it because I need to call and get a uconnect subscription?

2022 Ram 1500 Classic Tire Size Calibrator

Have you tried AlphaOBD? You will need the AlphaOBD app, a security gateway (SGW) bypass module, and an OBD2 read/writer (OBDLink MX+ or similar). https://www.ramforum.com/threads/programing-tire-size-on-2022-1500-classic.198009/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-xEFGIPDi8

    Front suspension questions

Your signature says you have a Maxtrac 7'' lift, those are 2WD only, yeah? If your truck is 4WD then yes, it's super easy to swap the CV axles as well when the bearings/hubs are out. If it's 2WD, you don't have CV axles to even worry about. :)

( GARBAGE )TrakMotive CH8256XTT Xtended Travel CV Axles

Do the Cardone HDs come sprayed black like that or did you spray them? I picked up some other pair of axles from Rock Auto (Cardones were out of stock when I ordered) and they are already getting a bunch of surface rust.

Need help identifying brand of lift and size.

Yup, it's a Zone lift. BDS stamps their forward bracket with their logo, Zone does not. Not sure if 4'' or 6'' though.

    Tire pressure

Chalk test is king. Easiest way to ensure you've got the right pressure. To get a decent starting point for PSI: 1. Find the gross vehicle weight per corner: GAWR / 2 = Weight Per Corner 2. Find the max weight rating of your current tires: this is written on the side wall. 3. Find the ratio of...

    Mopar Tonneau Cover

I have the mopar trifold (came with the truck when I bought it). This one: https://www.americantrucks.com/mopar-ram1500-hard-tri-fold-lockable-tonneau-cover-r110885.html It's great overall. My only complaint is it has to be removed to fit a motorcycle in the bed and it doesn't have any sort of...

    Tire size question

The new diameter will clear. The width should clear too as long as you have clearance between the tire and whatever upper control arm you're running. The 295 is about an inch wider than the 275.

    Aftermarket Antenna

If you have to go through car washes, definitely do not get one of those 50 cal bullet antennas. While their radio reception still works, you’ll end up with an antenna base that’s pried out if the fender. :(
