Questions about new 3.0 Standard Output Hurricane Engine

The move to unleaded fuel really helped this issue. I used to be a police vehicle BMW/Ford tech many years ago, early 90’s and we used to regularly pull heads to ‘decoke’ valves and ports. It was almost a service item on those vehicles. But I don’t have too much experience lately of valve...

    Catch can dynamics

Thanks for all the replies! To clarify, this is not an issue, my truck has only 22,880 mls and I suppose I clean it out maybe? every three months ( or when I think of it lol. Moved from WI to NC and went from 11,000mls to 22,000 mls seemingly overnight! This is all I got for that 10-12000...

    Catch can dynamics

So fellas. I have had a catch can on this 2021 Ram. My question might seem obvious, BUT….. My oil level never goes down, never burns oil, always been an excellent truck, so how is it my catch can gets half full over time? Where’s this oily crap come from? Weird.

What's different about the Gen 5 versus the 4. Any complaints with the Etorque or truck in general??

Oh yes. I have that factory brake controller and it works perfectly. Adds the trailer length to Blind Spot Monitor. Great with a travel trailer behind you

What's different about the Gen 5 versus the 4. Any complaints with the Etorque or truck in general??

Had my 21 torque since May 21. Not one issue! Love it. Etorque not even noticed, now. Would say I don’t see any fuel savings over my older truck with identical gearing and axle tho……

    Topper

Morning fellas. Haven’t posted in a while and this is just a reach out. In case! Does anyone, preferably within driving distance of Northern Wisconsin, have a topper to fit a 2021 5th gen crew cab 1500 they want to sell? I don’t think the older ones from 4th gen or classic will fit, but...

Small Dent In My Ram 3500 Rear Bumper

You could take the bumper off and using a suitable sized drift or block you could maybe get a lot of the dent out. I did that on one of mine but you will always see it. Improvement maybe, complete invisibility unlikely. If you rest the bumper on a hard wood block you won’t crack the chrome. I...

Dealership call out -- well done!

Mine is also great. Small operation in Ashland WI. They are a combined CJDR and FORD dealer…..yes ypu read that correctly lol. Ford 150 and Ram 1500 parked adjacent to each other and the sales teams sell both (with great product knowledge as well) They enabled a complete engine replacement for...

    Clean Carfax Rebel availability **UPDATE**

I didn’t realise dealerships bought or sold ex rental vehicles. Shows how low on stock they must have been. Glad it worked out. At least rental vehicles are serviced and maintained properly. That body damage seems extremely minor, I’m pleased for you. Did the dealer know and tell you it was...

    Spalling or flaking Alum wheels

I think once the alum starts to corrode and flake it all needs sandblasting or stripping and refurbished. Don’t see how to touch/cover up that. Strip and paint, I would say.

    Add Technology groups after purchase

I have the HUD and there is a unit fitted in my dash to project it. I wouldn’t think that would be the same in a non HUD vehicle.

    Passenger fender rubbing door

I agree. Take it back sharpish. That will rust in no time wherever you live. Looks like bare metal from the pics. Should be an easy adjustment for any body shop.

OP, I know how you feel! my 21 1500 is COMPLETELY unmarked (or rather was!) My friend and neighbour needed to pick up a new snowblower, could i help? The shop loaded it in with a very clever mobile ramp thingy, we strapped it down and off we went. When we got back to his house, he went to find...

    Major Tail Gate Problem

If you push it in hard does the button on the fob or even the handle then work? Sounds like it just needs adjusting if you can push it in and open with key. I have longhorn with multifunction tailgate and even with an aftermarket seal( which makes it very tight) I have no issues.
