02 1500 Transmission Problem

I'll start by saying that I have researched every possible thread and site on the internet and cant seem to find anyone that has had a similar problem. Truck is a 2002 1500 4x4 360 with a 46re Transmission I know its a 3rd gen body but I posted in the 2nd gen due to the driveline thats in it. my transmission seems to have lost 1st gear all together, it takes off in 2nd shifts fine to 3rd and overdrive, I have replaced all sensors inside of the pan and still nothing, the check ball in the line going to the cooler has also been removed i'm getting the required voltage to the transmission. When its put down in to 1st gear manually all it does is make a loud whine when pushing on the accelerator. When I bought the truck the power wedge on the rear band was sitting on top of the valve body blocking the transmission from going into park, so I had to replace the shift cable also as they tried to force it and broke the cable, anyways I put the wedge back in place and adjusted both bands along with fluid (atf +4) and still cant seem to get 1st gear back, any ideas that anyone else has i'd be more than happy to try, oh and one last thing I already tried switching the transmission relay with a known good one and that didnt help either.

It's nothing electronic if you put it into 1st gear manually and it does the same thing.

My 96 was doing the same thing, I just broke down and had a rebuilt trans installed.

I wish I could help more, but it's probably inevitable that a rebuild is in your future.
