02 ram headlights wont turn off

Hi. Im having a problem and dont know why its doing this. My headlights wont turn off when I put it in the off position and when turn off the truck. It just started to do this and I have no idea why. Ill turn the light switch to off then turn the truck off and there still on and in the cab will keep on dinging. We have had to unplug the battery because we dont want to kill it. We will turn the switch back an forth on and off and we got it to turn off once then we shut the door and they came back on and couldnt get it back off again.

Does the switch feel ok? It doesn't turn freely? It sounds like your switch is busted.
Also for future reference, if your truck is a 1500 then you need to be in the third gen section. 02 1500 = 3rd gen, 02 2500/3500 = 2nd gen. They may be more help over there.

Oh sorry I just saw that it said 94 to 02. But ya it turns like usually. But ill post there as well ty
