07 powerwagon-rear axle wont unlock

Turned the switch to "unlock" and the indicator light that shows the rear axle is locked stays on and the light for the unlock position just blinks. And ideas??

Is it actually still locked? could only be the sensor or actuator that is acting up and maybe the axle is actually unlocked.

Otherwise, it depends on what the actuator system is. If it is a pneumatic system (pressure or vaccum) then maybe the valve is stuck. Detach the air tube and allow for air to come in or out of the system.

If the actuation system is electric then you may have to verify if the actuator motor is stuck somehow. There should also be a way to detach the motor and actuate the system manually and potentially figure out what is going on at that point.
