To comply with Florida laws, I turned on the option to turn the headlights on whenever the wipers are turned on. Unfortunately, this apparently also dims the LCD panel because the system assumes if the lights are on, it's dark enough to dim the screen.
Yes, you can manually brighten the screen with the dials on the dash, but I'd rather have the sunlight determine whether or not to dim the screen.
