Help, please? I have a '14 Express Black Out and the fact that the side view mirrors, door handles, and tailgate handle are a textured plastic instead of body color is kicking my OCD tendencies into overdrive. I searched the forums and the posts related to mirror swaps all seem to be about power folding mirrors. Which if that's possible wouldn't hurt my feelings.

I have power/heated mirrors on the truck now, and would like to swap them out for body colored power/heated mirrors. Would adding the sport mirrors with the turn signal be possible? Is there another model truck that has body colored mirrors without the turn signal (but still has power/heat)?

How about door and tail gate handles? I do plan on installing a backup camera, so if the body color tailgate handle has the camera opening that's even better!

Thanks,

Mike

Buy OEM painted door handles from Dodge and have the mirror caps, tailgate handle, and antenna base painted. My truck had the same textured cheap plastic.

That's kinda funny, I just ran across the Chrome Caps for the mirror and decided that I would paint them if there is not another option.

Thanks!

Those are the actual mirrors not the cheap chrome caps. I just have the habit of calling them caps.

Even better! I really didn't want to go the chrome cap route, I think in the end that would bother me more than the texture.

How did they turn out in your opinion? Can you tell they were textured before painting? I'm assuming you would be more critical than the average person seeing them, since they are yours and you knew what they looked like before. I was wondering if the painters sanded them, or how they get them smooth.

They look great, you would never know they were textured. JJ at RetroShop had his painter do them for me for $120 shipped back to me, I had to cover shipping to him, but the price is more than fair considering the labor to get them smooth. They are sanded smooth as the rest of the body.

Out of curiosity, other than going to a Ram dealers parts department, any idea where I can get a set of mirrors for a '14? Is there a forum sponsor that sells them? I can't find any that fit a '14...
