Side Mirror upgrade from plain to puddle lights

So let me set this up,
I have 2016 Ram 1500 Hemi V8 5.7 Liter Tradesman 5.5 bed Crew Cab
I have removed the left and right door mirrors and replaced them with side mirrors from a 1017 Laramie, these have the puddle lights/turn signals
the original mirrors did not have this option, ( plain/ with heated mirrors)
I have successfully swapped them over and the mirrors operate perfectly along with the heated mirror option,
all the wiring matched up perfectly - I did have an originally empty harness slot that the wires snapped into perfectly from the new mirrors,
from what I am understanding here is that now i need to program the lights using a { AlfaOBD } or have a dealer run the program to activate the new mirror lights.

I have downloaded http://www.alfaobd.com/download.html to my laptop (i was researching) but it does not seem to have a mirror control option, also, how would this connect to my truck to actually change the current program to activate the lights? or are the options different for my Android phone?

I feel like I'm 9/10th of the way there but just missing a step or two,
Appreciate the assist- and if i didn't post in the correct place feel free to move to correct location.

You need an adapter to communicate with your truck via the obd port. Most use this one

Under the Body computer

Mirror turn signals- present
Mirror approach lights- present

with tow mirrors
Tow mirror- present

you will need new door modules to activate power folding.

You have not indicated if you're adding tow or folding mirrors, both of which have AlfaOBD settings.
