1500 Fender Flares

Hey guys. I keep seeing everyone with fender flares and have really grown to like them. I've observed that a lot of you are putting the 2500 flares on your 1500, but have also seen a different flare for the 1500. I figured it would be a mopar accessory, but can't find the 1500 ones. So my question is where are the 1500 guys getting 1500 flares?????

What he said..Ebay!..Plus the 1500 flares are hard to come by as they are not readily available. The 2500 flares are more common and are always changed at the dealership because customers want new ones, thus the stock ones are put up for sale and are basically brand new!!

Yup, using the same screws that are already in your fender well holding up the liner

Hey thanks for all the info. Definitely gonna add this to my list. Wonder how much it would be to paint them Sagebrush Green. I'll post some pics when I eventually get it done.

Just a heads up if it is a stock color on the 2500 you might be find them on ebay I know they have multiple posts for multiple colors

Does anyone have a pic of what the 1500 flares look like on a sport front bumper? I see lots of the 2500 style. I agree with everyone that the full length flare on the sport bumper looks ugly. So I was wondering if I got the longer 1500's cut them shorter and maybe sand down the edge to try and blend in the front edge of the flare to the front sport bumper? I'm thinking of blending it in where the sport bumper has that ever so slight angle near the half way point. Of course a paint match will be necessary after that.

another thing to keep in mind is the people with the sport bumper are getting the 2500 flares because there is no brake or bumper line. If you have the chrome bumper the 1500 flares work better as they extend down to the bumper line.

so you're saying the 2500 flares won't work good for us 1500 guys with the chrome bumpers? like on a Big Horn?

They will physically work but won't extend all the way down to the bumper

Oh ok I gotcha, that sucks I was hoping to use these glad I found this out, so 1500 have a flare option? you know what models by chance I would look for to get these?

Here's a pic of my old truck with 2500 flares, it was a 09 big horn. This will give you an idea what they'd look like with chrome bumpers

Looking at the Laramie Longhorns, their flares go all the way to the bumper. It's the same front setup as the Big Horns, which is also what I have. They've got to exist somewhere in the world to buy. I need a brochure or something. That or someone with a Laramie that traded out their flares for something aftermarket.

Thor09 thanks for that pic it explains it all. Guess I'll try to look for a 1500 model when my times to get them as the aftermarket bushwacker ones are too big for my taste
