This is the first new vehicle I have ever purchased.
I am completely let down by Ram and the quality of the brake parts used!
I pulled the brakes apart last year at 14K due to the rears pulsing (felt in the peddle/seat vs steering wheel) and cleaned lubed everything. This made it much smoother but the pulse came back and is bad now.
The front was squealing real bad, took them apart and the pads were frozen in the slides....had to pry them out with a 2' screw driver! Cleaned them all up, files the tabs on the pads to increase the tolerance and lubed up the pads/slide so they were free to move, also lubed the back of the pad against the pistons.
Now, 6 months later and I have to bite the bullet and do new rear rotors and pads, and I am replacing hte front pads due to the squealing being back.
Sorry to rant, but with a $52K price tag I should not need to do this type of work this soon on a new truck! There are clear contaminants in the rotors that reflect very low quality steel used (I.E. china steel used??)
Dealer/Chrysler confirmed they are not covered under warranty.
