I have a 2006 Dodge 1500 4X4 Big Horn with 275/60R 20 and I'm thinking about getting small tires (cheaper), I know that I will need new tires and rims but can that be done? And if so how big of tires before I would need a lift kit?

thanks....

I think you mean smaller tires as in smaller rims. You could get stock 17s from another ram and put on 285/70r17s without a lift. Easiest way to go. If you level the front you can put 315/70/17s, aka 35s. Depending on your location, I'm sure someone here would trade their stock 17" rims for your 20". If you want 18" rims though, I'm not sure, but I would assume 285/XX/18 would fit without a lift.
